    ..@gwaps specifically requested for carbonara....i do have the recipe pero i have not tried this yet....di man kaayo ko partial for carbonara gud...but here goes:

    Spaghetti alla Carbonara

    1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    6 oz pancetta or bacon , finely diced
    4 large eggs , beaten
    1/3 cup pecorino cheese
    ground black pepper

    Heat in a large skillet over medium heat the olive oil. Add the bacon and cook until crisp. Pour off all but 3 tablespoons of fat.

    When spaghetti is cooked al dente, reserve 1/3 cup of the pasta cooking water and combine it with the lightly beaten eggs and pecorino cheese.

    Drain pasta and add it while very hot to the skillet. Add the egg mixture and toss over medium heat until eggs are firm. Season with ground black pepper to taste.

    Serve hot with additional pecorino cheese.

    @insik24....hi...the reason we just concentrated on the sauces is because it is easy to get ready made pasta and simple to cook them al dente....i have tried making fresh pasta...nya kuti man kaayo oi ...so buy na lang ko ready made na.....but i do have some recipes and tips how to make fresh pasta sad....let me know what interests you and we can check if we have the info at hand....welcome to the thread!
    thanks Gwynn. i love pesto a lot. it's a sauce i find really delicious.

    ^^ bro naa ko lain variation nabasahan today for pesto ...wala pa nuon nako nasulayan...pero for creamy pesto daw...add cream cheese nya omit pine nuts ...(mag sandy texture man tungod sa nuts)....ambot morag lami sad da....kon maka try nya ka let us know....

    Did you know there's a Pasta theme for your Windows XP? It's called Tema Pasta and installation instructions are in Italian, but all you really need to know anyway are "Avanti" and "Annula". It's a nice theme for all of us pasta lovers.

    I cook Carbonara every once in a while coz its too rich my kids love it though. Kids love anything Pasta.

    i think it will have very favorable results. i haven't tried it because i busted my blender from making pesto too often but i assure you it will be really delicious. I suggest using my recipe and either add cream cheese to it or substitute cream cheese for the nuts. :

    about pesto with cream cheese, i will try it as soon as i get a new blender or food processor.
