In my own opinion the Choing 7 are all GUILTY! Ilaha pa gyud i-deny nga dili sila kaila nga kadaghanan man gyud nag-ingon nga magbabarkada na silang tanan.

I was lucky to witness the trial in Ocampo's court. Sad to say, Paco's witnesses are not credible and inconsistent.

At one time, naay witness ni-ingon nga kauban sila ni Paco sa usa ka party on the night the crime was committed pero pag ask sa fiscal kung maka estimate ka ba sa size sa room diin mo ga party, dili siya maka estimate. Murag mahadlok mo estimate. Kung tinood gyud nga tua mo didto you can readily say its big as that.

Another, ingon ang usa nga classmate sila ni Paco ani nga subject. Pero pag present sa report card adto nga semester wala to gi offer nga subject adto nga semester sort of like that.

Ang ako lang giganahan kay mga gwapa kaayu ang mga witness ni Paco pero turned off ko kay mga bakakon.

it could be that they were nervous. during my first experience in a court room and giving a testimony, i was totally at a loss. my feet was trembling and i was mumbling.

anyway, the reason i was nervous is that i was always getting ahead of myself and thought what the prosecution was about to ask next. i didn't lie but i anticipated. BIG MISTAKE!. mostly Paco's witnessess were educated & probably committed the same mistake i did.

witnessess testimonies should be equally given weight regardless if it is for the defense or prosecution regardless of stature in the community but having a criminal record should not be given equal weight because they are already hardened and expert in manipulating the system such as Rusia except for most remote cases such as the Filmon hardware case. Wherein the minor na kuyog ra gyud but IMO Rusia should not have been admitted as a witness for 2 reasons, he has countless criminal records and he surfaced quite late and his testimonies were already tailored or rehearsed or whatever. Moreover, he also had lapses in his testimony. He admitted that he didn't see some very crucial part of the crime. Probably because they were so difficult to account for. Would you believe that they allegedly kidnapped, gang-raped and murdered the sisters and he did not see nor participate in it all the way? One of the reasons why Ocampo did not render death which created a reasonable doubt. If the judge really has seen it was beyond reasonable doubt, he should have sentenced all of them to death or acquitted them. It's that simple! But why didn't he?

    BTW, where is Rusia now?

that's the reason why attys brief their witnesses... to avoid these scenarios.

that why IMO, Paco's atty failed... they failed to present their witnesses to be reliable.

you have a very good point but there is no control to human nature. picture this, they were law-abiding citizens who belonged to good families, no police or court experience, had the finer things in life thus always saw that the world is good. imagine if you will bring these people even jus to file a blotter for a traffic infarction?

hmm.. dili ba ang reason ni late Judge Ocampo why he didn't render death to the convicts is because he is Pro Life?

nope, he rendered death left & right. he was supposed to be legally upgright man.

BTW, if the good judge "indeed" wasn't murdered then why did he kill himself just a couple of weeks or months after his biggest case?! nobody really looked into this angle and this was never thoroughly investigated, in fact it was mediocrely investigated. gi-periodan iyang life and possible testimony, so the truth died with him.

if he was manipulated and commited suicide then why did he not leave a letter or a note in a secure place vindicating the chiong 7? my take on this is that he REALLY did not commit suicide.

he allegedly commited suicide in waterfront mactan when in fact he was obviously murdered. his fear lead to his demise and the death of the truth.
