Yes, I read the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and I liked it. I even watched the cartoonPersonally, it's better than
Harry Potter. But nothing still beats The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings not even the Dragonlance series which I also liked.
There was a cartoon series?
I didn't know that...
What year was it showing? Any chance of getting old video tapes of it?
I would love to have my niece, nephew and son watch it.
May I also invite you to read C.S. Lewis's other masterpieces besides the TCON like Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters and others.Originally Posted by cmontoya

@ Hounded by Heaven:
C.S. Lewis is my favourite writer.
So, yes, I have read Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters.
I loved Mere Christianity because he set about proving Christianity through logic.

Hi DebutsAndIDo's,
Yes, I was very young. All I remember was that it was sponsored by Kraft (the cheese maker).
It was very British (the art, the accents, the gloomy colors ala BBC background)
I think this was it

because I remember I was less than 10 years old.

The first television adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia arose as far back as 1967 and was in the form of a black and white serial. Following in 1979 was an animated cartoon version of the first book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Later, another adaptation of the first book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, was aired by British television station BBC, who released in episodes the first of three films encompassing the first four books. These miniseries were filmed during the years 1988-1990. Each of the three films in the series had six episodes, including some plot overlay between books. The tales of Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader work together in two and four episodes with the storyline of both books.
@cmontoya:
Thanks for the links. I loved best the news tidbit that the movie will be having the same director as Shrek 1 and 2, plus there's going to be a Shrek 3.
Well, it's the -ber months already. I'm hoping against hope that we get to see the movie in December, just like the rest of the world.
Can I get a copy of the books too?
