temporary escape from reality.

..escapism..but i don't think most animes are in a form of escapism..

..slice of life animes/mangas are for me not in a form of escapism..like Genshiken..a glimpse of what otakus are in Japan..it's just telling the story of ordinary people..no special powers..

..also, watching anime or reading manga is both entertaining and saddening when it ends..ahhhh!..i like the feeling of melancholy and happiness..that an anime/manga i was so enthusiastically watching/reading has come to an end..and lingers for weeks and weeks..and it feels good..hahahahaha..XD

Well, there are so many things to like about Anime.

The storylines are very unique in Anime. I love the original characters with distinctive personalities that I can't find in movies, and plain cartoons.
People usually think anime are for kids but there are quite a lot of anime for mature audiences, thick plots with unexpected twists and turns and require deep thinking and scrutiny to finally get it.

Creative kaau mga Japanese. I love the way they put their thoughts into writing/drawing.
