    June 20 start sa classes

I passed usc, uc and usj-r entrance exams pero usj-r ako gipili kay dili pareha ka high-pressure sa usc ug dili daw mohatag consideration sa mga working students.

From what I’ve heard dili na man sad kabintahaan ang standards sa usj-r coz they have competent and knowledgeable professors. Also I felt more comfortable in the usj-r campus.

A friend of a friend studied in uv for a year then transferred to usj-r kay wa jud daw klaro ang uv. Hapit dili motunga ang professors, sometimes once a week ra ang klase. I don’t know if it’s true pero eversince wa man jud narecognize ang uv nga competitive ila law school... so mga taga-uv, ayaw ko nnyo awaya ha? ako ra girelay ako nadunggan.. sorry!

Anyway, depende ra na sa student if he will excel or not. A school is only an instrument but it all boils down to one thing: Success comes from within.
Next sem pa man ko bai...
Gimalas kay july pako kauli nganha... but excited nako mag law school.. . and yeah, sa usjr pud~
    Hehehe...

UC ko enrolled, i cannot comment on other skuls, but we have a high passing score compared to the national ...and competitive kaau ang mga teachers, we hv new rooms now and we hv great teachers sad. we are also very active on advocacy...we hope to be the best law school in the very near future.

if u want to study law...gusto gyud ka ma-lawyer....go for the better school, USC or UC.

  5. #55
i am a lawyer and i studied in USC. i was also a working student starting middle of first sem all the way to fourth year. class mate nako si. atty. cabilte.

working and studying is very tough but in the end more gratifying. there are ways on going around the load difficulty especially if you are working.

pero study gyud and alter your lifestyle for the next 4 years.

Sori ha, mo-disagree jud ko ani USC is far better than UC.. Layo ra kaayo ilahang agwat dili sila dapat i-treat on a same level.. we can't say UC is already better kay bag-o pa man ang ila Law Course. They need to prove they are better not just by being good in their first years but they should also be consistent with regards to their performance for a longer span of time aron makaingon ta nga better jud sila...

Opinion lang ni nako ha, hope you will respect it.

for the past few months, i am thinking of going back to school but not to gain masters in my field but to become a lawyer someday.. i am a graduate of usj-r and i have good friends who are already practicing being a lawyer.. usj-r has a high standard more or less same for usc and most of the professors are judges..

i remembered judge paredes iyang kontra akong x-bf malingaw ko nila kay mglantugi dayon sa klase.. hehehehehehe

i have a question for the law students here. is it true that you need to have at least 6 units in math para maka enroll ka ug law? i'm taking up polsci now and isa man lang ka math subject sa amo curriculum which is equivalent to 3 units only. does that mean i would need to enroll in another math subject before ko maka enroll ug law?

usc law library also has a free wifi provided that u register your laptop or notebook sa counter to avoid illegal users from coming in.

and in different parts of the campus sad kay naay wifi., it depends lang sa imong laptop specs if maka catch xa ug signal, here in usc we have 5 wifi connections that u can access anytime.,

    As to my opinion,

if you're not working in a full time position, USC should be your choice., (It doesn't mean na if you're working, you need to sacrifice quality education and It doesn't mean also na "out-of-pressure law schools is better for your future coz in the end, you will realize na it's better to be pressured while you are in school para inig gawas nimo sa real world, anad naka sa pressures on court trials, mitigations(forgive me if i don't know the proper terms sa law coz i'm a 4th year accounting student, etc., )

But, if dili jud ka ganahan ug pressure,
choose nalang UC instead of USJ-r, atleast sa UC their starting to make a name and who knows maka top ka so, atleast sa uc naa kay free CAR., diba., sa USC wala man coz it's like a given thing na all law graduates has the chance to top the bar exams.,

USC jud ang nice in terms of facilities, students, administration, faculty, and naa jud edge ang USC when it comes to speaking and debating, etc.,(take note, USC is the only Law school in the visayas and mindanao that is consistently included sa top 10 performing law schools.)

well, in the end, after reading all these opinions, it is your own discretion by the way where to pursue your Law course.,
