turner has ran out of space to draw extra characters, so he thought "WASP IS SMALL!" and adds her in the cover.

....
1. on what planet in what universe does BARON ZEMO get a government job? He's a gawd damned Nazi! If you ranked the most evil people in Marvel comics you would come up with a list that goes Apocalypse, the Red Skull, and Baron Zemo. Honestly, I half expect to see Apocalypse and the Horsemen show up with government authorization and it can't get any more crazy.
2. Deadpool is a similiar case. The man is outright crazy. Not in the sense of megalomania or disregard for people's lives (that is enough government employees). It's in the sense that he talks to himself, is delusional, and couldn't pass the psychological qualifications to be a mailman. THIS is a man hired by the government to bring in superheroes?
3. Are the American people REALLY so stupid as to utterly ignore Nitro's part in the Stamford affair? Does no one think that he should have his head called for? It's not like Speedball's Kinetic Force went out of whack (which is the way people are treating it). Nitro is the guy who detonated the bomb. Why isn't everyone going after him?
4. spiderman making perfectly rational arguments in Amazing Spiderman for Registration'Revealing Public Identities in his own title while in others he might as well address Tony as his Furher. It seems to be inconsistent characterization. And while Speedball has owned up to his involvement in the disaster and he knows that he is being railroaded by the feds for it as well. He also realized that the feds were trying to use that to force/blackmail him into registering. He stood his ground on his principals, unlike Marvel's flagship character.
5. they release the Green Goblin and every supervillain ever in the Marvel universe to be in the New Thunderbolts. Doctor Octopus, a man again, CLINICALLY INSANE and has tried to BLOW UP the world.
Whose next? Hydra for SHIELD recruitment.
know what else is odd? Spider-Man saying that "this isn't about right or wrong, this isn't about moral or immoral. it's about legal or illegal." when he never really cared that he was an illegal vigilante in the years and years he's been Spider-Man. Reed must've really gotten to his head with that McCarthyism crap.
it's also VERY odd how, in the same issue where Spidey says that, he keeps worrying that "something so right feels so wrong". I thought it wasn't about right or wrong, Spidey. which is it?!
it's just a single example of the terrible characterization going around this thing.
I just read Civil War: Frontline and i must admit. I love Speedball. How his character just shines in this issue just proves that this issue is worth the read. I just dont get it why the public is putting the blame on him. But i do know that Speedball does take part of the blame for that incident; he did make a mistake, an improper judgment call, and it's important for anyone -- much less a superhero constantly on the streets -- to be able to admit that.
However, I completely agree with and appreciate his decision not to budge an inch for SHIELD and their little ultimatum. This situation has turned completely political instead of legal. They're literally trying to use him and his team as some sort of scapegoat, a damned political buffer, saying "admit guilt to help our cause or you rot in prison."
Okay, that's not justice. That's a twisted political gains opportunity. He maybe made a mistake, but he wasn't the one who blew up. He was the one trying to stop him. He didn't kill anyone. And yet he's in prison right now with convicted murderers and rapists; that's such a mockery of the system that it isn't even funny. They act like he single-handedly murdered everyone in that park and are expecting him to tell everyone in the world that he did just that. And for him to register, to tell them that they're right, is a justification that kind of mockery.
Nitro was the one who actually killed all those people, and yet so far his reprehensibility in all those deaths has been almost all but completely absent, confined to a single Wolverine series. Again, that's such a joke.
Speedball > Spider-man.
Read the Wolverine tie-ins, turns out it's bigger than Nitro, like someone higher up in the food chain manipulating the events. And I like how Namor is starting to get involved in this, first in Frontline, now he shows up in Wolverine.
P.S. Jenkins is an awesome writer btw.
Im going to get on to reading this Marvel event, but I need to know whats teh reading order.
Like what should I read first, next last. It would be much appreciated.
so, far got all the CW issue and all the tie-in.
btw, just finish reading CW#4. the story is awesome. the revelation who thor really is is excellent. no wonder he sided with ironman. cause he is really............ hehehehehe..... you have to read it to find out. and what he did to black goliath and what he was about to do with the rest of the rebels. is so cool.
infinity what![]()
Civil War has too many tie ins, not gonna read em all. Anyway, well the Thor bit was kind of obvious, I dont think he'll just pick a side and just fire at will. Loved Sue's reaction and leaving that jerk of a husband of hers.
Reed and Tony have really gone screw loose.
SPOILERS!
"Thought you said...you were going out...for the night...dad."
"And I thought you knew which side you were on."
Peace out!
read the tie-ins, they actually make sense.
the tie-ins just make it all beautiful to me.
