personally, i really dont like to invest on businesses that wont give me at least some form of control over the company... but i also personally believe that having the power to go in and out of the market at my discretion is better than having none..

i prefer to study a company before investing on it.. daghan kaau forces that would affect the company, such as new products, and presence of competition, management, etc which dili makita sa graphs.. and also, we dont know sa management sa company..

too bad our stock market is still small, there are only a few companies to play with.. i invest primarily on private companies.. hehe

para nako, speculation is just gambling... (but as with gambling, there are ways to minimize risks.. hehe)..

personal opinion lang.. grabe earnings ma gain from volatile small-cap companies.. hehehe.. i dont like the blue-chip ones.. too expensive and too stable... hehe money is made (or lost) during changes.. hehe..

    lastly.. ako lang ni ha..
daghan ko ma learn bout the economy especially sa trends and seasons by just looking at the stock market sa newspaper.. it could tell me which industry is doing good and which is not.. it would give me a general picture on the economy..

If you have the right tool, Trading the stock market is not gambling at all. If your risk is minimized and controlled, and your entry price is set and your target price is determined and lastly your cutloss price is determined all through charts, it is not gambling at all. It's called managing your portfolio and being responsible of your money traded or invested. It's like treating your position as BUSINESS. When you start your business, you have the plan first then you take action, then more planning and more study this is the same as stock trading. Remember what Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad said: "It is not usually the investment that is risky, but the investor""

Prices that are reflected on the price action is discounting everything. This means that whatever is being fundamentally done inside or outside the company, the chart reflects it. That's Absolute. It is showing the sentiments of all the market players. By sentiments, we mean emotions of the buyers and sellers. Why do we consider the emotions of the buyers and sellers? Because when you are dealing with money, you are dealing with your emotion, and therefore your emotion is dictating you to buy or sell. When we know how to translate the market participants' emotion to real price action then you will make money.

Because when others are emotional to buy you are ready to sell to them.

When the NEWS is out in the newspaper, it's time for the technician to sell their stocks, while the new reader is still buying. Then the stock goes down. Why is this, because the big men have already accumulated before the news is sent out to the public. If we don't have technical analysis as a tool, we
will be the buyers of the falling daggers. Then wait forever on our self-proclaimed target prices to come. The Charts gives us direction and targets. If you only read the news papers, you will only have lagging direction but not the target. No Fundamental could point to the right target.

I am a firm believer for Technical Analysis as the absolute tool in trading anything in the financial market. It maybe, forex, oil, gold, other precious metals, bonds,us market, hongkong market, philippine market. Name it, even Animal manure exchange if there is, they are all governed by the law of supply and demand that's dictated by the human emotion.

    * Building Your Wealth: Two Methods to Use in trading the Stock Market
    * The Concept of Technical Analysis:

    v INTRODUCTION TO TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
Technical Analysis is the forecasting of future financial price movements based on an examination of past price movements. Like weather forecasting, technical analysis does not result in absolute predictions about the future. Instead, technical analysis can help investors anticipate what is "likely" to happen to prices over time. Technical analysis uses a wide variety of charts that show price over time. (StockCharts.com - Simply the Web's Best Financial Charts)

    v TRENDLINES
    Up, Down or Sideways?

v MAJOR REVERSAL PATTERNS & CONTINUATION PATTERNS
Where is the market headed to?

v VOLUME, LONG-TERM CHARTS & INDICES, MOVING AVERAGES
How can these indicators help anticipate where stock issues will go?

    v OSCILLATORS
How can this indicator help me in my trades?

Our head instructor is Danny Go. Danny has been managing proprietary accounts for investors by trading the U.S. equity markets. He got his start in 1999 while working for La Pena Investments where Danny was tasked to train and head a pool of traders that co-managed a proprietary fund. He is a Certified Securities Representative and has worked for different local brokerages as a technical analyst. Being an advocate of technical analysis, Danny has spent the last seven years teaching and sharing his trading experience to interested traders. He firmly believes technical analysis can flourish in the Philippines just as it has in neighboring Asian countries. He also believes that through proper education and training, more and more people could reap the benefits of trading the stock market. Danny is also the Trading Director of Zigtraders. Zigtraders started trading proprietary US equities accounts since the local market went sideways.
