    Me, if youre a pro enough you know what is time management, there are times nga ipahimutang nimo ang imong work ug maintenance sa computer ako I have lots of work sa home office pero I still put time sa maintance and there is no reason nga ma usik imong time if mag cge kag reformat etc...

    Kapoy mag cge ug reformat oi sa tinood pero ang benefits for me maayo coz permi fresh imong system. Di sad maayo permi as in grabe na jud even once in every month bahh depende nimo.

    My opinion lang pud na nako I have nothing against you mga bros...

    Cheers!

    office pc - only when virus hits and beyond repair.

    home pc - only when i feel like it/there's a virus/there's an annoying spamware/its too cluttered. I want a fresh new start again. i usually use norton ghost or peBuilder.

    "its a good practice if mag reformat mo sa inyo PC periodically its how you clean internally daw kay ang windows"

    i think that's a myth. You really dont need to reformat to clean it internally or it's a good maintenance practice, just defrag it. so if you just want to format your pc on a regular basis, naa ra sa tao kung ganahan siya.

    All formats do is just to delete the files then scan it (optional) for badsectors.

    I think people just want to format pc just to have a fresh new start again. (hopefully not because its good maintenance practice). I really dont want to download all those patches again.

    for examples -
    Windows Servers - you dont really want to reformat this computer (worse on a regular basis). The configurations, the company, the cost, all the $$$ and time you loose. samut na guro kung linux servers.

    @yugi

    Pasagdi lang na siya bro, smart *** comments raman na iya, but i do get his meaning. if your job depends on your pc and you need to be awake 24/7 for 365days dli gyud ka maka pa format ana anytime unless you cana afford a back up PC or the office provides you with one.

    i dont format my pc/lappy if there are no issues found. as long as madala nako ug anti virus.. i'll take that chance.

    most pc right now, specially from my friends have issues with their pc.. "virus" are detected specially if file transfers are made through e-mail or usb drives... most common are usb drives.. so be careful on those coz its a pain in the butt!

    just make sure to have your pc regularly check with anti virus and also check usb drives/files sent through email be checked with viruses before opening it.

    make virus checking a habit. hehe.
