in terms of talent, i think she can compete head on with the guys here in the US..

but in reality, she can make it big here in the US if naa lang mu back up niya mga well known producers from the music industry.

Guys, I would agree more on this opinion than to the notion that she has no talent, or not enough talent to make big in the US.

I've seen US artists, and I don't see why Regine can't make it. Perhaps to her being a little unknowledgeable about the language is not a downside to her. She can learn, and she is learning.

Heck, she even sounds great compared to Celine, or Fantasia.
And she performs it live with more colors than lip synching it.

Im referring to both of you, for short bai, lahi lahi opinion ang, tao...... but for me naa talent si regine,, og makaigo gyud siya og high notes, pero wala man gani mosikat si leah og maayo ngadto nga ilado na kaayo na siya........

I'm no expert here, but given Regine's age, chances of her breaking into the U.S. music scene is getting dimmer each and every day.

You say it as if promoting is done over night. it is not. sometimes it takes years and then some. and i didn't say her management didn't try. they did. but sometimes there are other factors that is in consideration. timing is one of them.you know how racist americans can be. but definitely it has nothing to do with talent. regine has loads of it, and people know that. you don't really need to write songs to make it, a lot of US artists don't pen their own songs.

and besides, she didn't really put her whole effort to it. when she does, she will, by now, residing in the US.

but here's the good news, even if she didn't actually try doing in the US, she made few (but significant) other americans rivet to her. AskMen magazine is one of them. And that's a start. I know, i know, the road is long and winding, but then who said dreams can never be realized?
