MJ live on hard physical defense! hand checking is aloud on his time, hand checking give defender edge over the offensive player because he could touch the player or enable him to push the offensive player but today defensive player can't hand check an offensive player and that is a FOUL! plus the defensive 3 second rule, defenders can't stay on the painted area more than 3 seconds cause its a violation. so whenever an offensive player penetrate to the basket, centers of any defensive player inside has late reaction because of the fact that he is not allowed to the on the painted area more than 3 seconds.
MJ is still the best in spliting double and tripple teams and finishing to the basket and challenging big mens!

even kobe himself say that, him and MJ should not be compared because according to kobe "the greatest player(MJ) to ever played the game!"
maybe people should watch the series between the bulls against the pistons or even against the knicks during the early 90's. you will see that MJ was bump constantly and double/triple team often even without the ball!

well the two can't really be compared, because the fact that they don't play on the same years. MJ's career was almost at its limit during his time with the wizards while kobe was accelerating toward his greatnes...

Jordan all the way...but you have to realize that Jordan had great help during those 6 rings and the triangle was like a new system and defense for it was hard at first,,,jordan and pippen totaled 50 points in every game,,,

don't you think kobe have his own support? lamar, pau, sasha and fisher, they are best fit to be the teammates of kobe. well, as i said before, kobe haven't experience the jordan rule because of the HAND CHECKING and the DEFENSIVE THREE SECOND RULES!
