I got this one from other forum site. I think this was the 2nd KD that the ref didn't called.

In many rulebooks, a knockdown is only called when anything other than your feet touches the canvas, in which case did not happen to Marquez in the apparent second fall. The only other time a ref will call a KO is when a boxer is deemed physically unable or unfit to continue a fight. JMM have shown he still was fit to continue and even went on to finish the fight on his feet and could have won the bout had he not fell in the 3rd

As I may add, once a boxer holds on to the rope after he was hit it is considered a KO and is eligible for a count from the referee. It happened to Marquez during the 3rd round of the bout. But referee Bayless did not do that but technically it is considered a KO. Rules of that fight stated that "A boxer can not be saved by the bell" so referee Bayless should have performed the 10 count-procedure on Marquez on the 3rd round... Marquez was still lucky.

BUT Manny WAITED for the REFEREE to call the Knockdown.... then the bell rang....

Boxing is not judge by a 1 round knockdown.Pacman knockdown Marquez but Marquez schooled pacman througout he fight.For me the difference between them is the boxing power of pacman vs the superior boxing skill of marquez.
