    How about not thinking that you have a relationship with someone far away. It helps to calm the mind and emotions for an absent lover or spouse.

    It didn't work for me because I was way too young plus it was my first real relationship that sadly wasn't as real as I'd hope for it to be.

    Depends on each partner because they're differences and the people surrounding them usually are reasons why many couples in LDR's split apart as well as each partners maturity and realistic level.
