Cole set for Real deal

LONDON (AFP) - England full-back Ashley Cole is set to leave behind English Premiership side Arsenal and join Spanish giants Real Madrid in a cut-price move at the end of the season.
Cole, who was involved in a notorious 'tapping-up' affair with Premiership champions Chelsea, reportedly has a release clause in his contract which stipulates he can leave Highbury for a modest fee, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 24-year-old Cole, who is currently sidelined with a broken foot, signed a 12-month extension to the remaining two years of his deal in the summer after the affair.
His secret talks with Chelsea cost him a 70,000 pounds (122,000 dollars) fine and his relationship with the Gunners hierarchy has never recovered.
Real are reportedly interested in Cole as a successor to Brazilian wing back Roberto Carlos.

Niagi pa diay to ug inter si ronaldo no before real? he he he. I haven't been following up his career man gud, coz i'm not that a big fan after his first real world cup perfomance after being named FIFA player of the year twice. They said he vomitted before the final game, and many questioned his maturity at that time.

in France 1998 Ronaldo got sick on the day of the Finals. It was not because of anxiety or paranoia, it was body stress. He was shipped to Inter-Milan coz he was no longer happy at Barcelona. When he got to Inter, he was the same old kick-arse ronaldo but his knee injury dampened his spirits but thankfuly come Japan/Korea 2002 he showed to the world why he is the best player. And Ronaldo has been named FIFA player of the year, THREE times, alongside Zidane. He got fed up of inter milan's bad treatment on him that he went to Real Madrid and scored within his first two minutes. hhehehe.

and talking about barcelona i used to like that team, when Mr. Disciplinarian Louis Van Haal was still in charge and all those yummy dutch players. Their roster at those times were HUMBLE. I havent heard any bad comment or boastful comment from one of their players. That was THEN. But now, damn, look at Samuel Eto'o, he is bragging that he is better than Ronaldo. Eto'o forgot who he is talking to. As we bisaya always say DAGHAN PA CYA BUGAS KAO.NON. Eto'o still has to prove himself, not only in the domestic scene but in the Euro and World stage as well. And by god, Ronaldo has come, seen and conquered.

I never heard that news that Eto'o boast of proclaiming himself that his better than Ronaldo.
Anyways Ronaldo is also one of my favorite player. It was all about the offer that Ronaldo transferred from Barcelona to Inter. I still love BARCELONA right now and results show by two games they scored 10 goals...

It seems that it will be Barcelona and Real Madrid again neck to neck in La liga. Juve and AC in Serie A. While it will be a runaway for Chelsea at EPL.

Eto'o cant' equal the fame of either ronaldo or ronaldinho. He cant boast of a world cup trophy, though he may be scoring everyday.

Robinho is an heir to Ronaldo.

you are right Von, if Eto'o is indeed that good a player then he would have won or even nominated as FIFA Player of the year, but he wasnt even in the top 5. Ronaldo in Eto'o age was more devastating. He wasnt called THE PHENOM for nothing. Comparing Ronaldo against Eto'o is such a waste of time, hehehehe. Someone shoot me please.

sabot lang sad ta bai, kay at this age, if u are not humble by nature, mo-gawas gyud ng imong pagka-hambugero (referring to Eto-o).......
a very good example of humility is RAUL.......he's very cordial in his statements, he is the leading scorer in champion's league history but wla gyud mo kadungog nga nanghambog.....he's one of the reason why I stuck with Madrid......

@raul julia, right on. RAUL is the most humble player out there. He can brag about his EURO conquest but then he just zipped his mouth and let his records speak for him.

But with Eto'o its different, lets compare him with players in his age bracket. DECO, OWEN, RONALDHINO. None of them, even Ronaldhino when he won the FIFA World Player of the Year, ever said that they are better than someone.

And did someone saw the highlights on England vs. Argentina. Damn, England looks good, Owen and Rooney has a good partnership. They could go all the way to the semis next year or even the finals. Taking for granted that they can find a better goal keeper. cause so far their goalie is their weakest link.
