I think I saw this article on J-Post, which I don't think is reliable...probably Zionist propaganda, again. Still, Russia has been pretty vocal about what's going on over there, going as far as moving warships in the proximity. Turkey and Russia has had bad blood ever since baya, so if Turkey does push through with its sanctions on Syria (they have already established no-fly zones and created contingency plans for military action) there is a high possibility of Russia coming to the rescue... Iran will probably step into the picture before then though, since they are Syria's closest ally. Countries that might get involved would be: Israel, Pakistan, the small Arab states nearby., U.S. -- I don't know about the EU, probably will be involved, but they have some problems of their own.

Nope.. Both Russia & China abstained only on the latest U.N. Human Rights Council resolution... they didnt call for Assad to step down .They oppose for regime change unless its favors to them.
