Are you saying the Church should just keep quiet when Catholics join a group that has plotted against the Church? Should the Church allow catholics to participate in groups that openly teach things that are clearly against Christian teachings? That would be grossly irresponsible of the Church! It's the duty of the Church to warn Catholics against such groups.

no, that's not the issue i was trying to address.. it is normal for every church to conduct necessary procedures or publicize its aim to throw any organization that's against their own teachings, that's a given.. the issue is when they REPEATEDLY do it that it comes to a point when it's bias..

If non-Catholics want to join such groups, the Church would still concerned but doesn't have much influence on the persons involved. But if CATHOLICS join them, it would be plain stupid for the Church to tolerate it and keep silent. It would also be stupid for ordinary Catholics to hide their heads in the sand and ignore the danger too.

If such organizations didn't REPEATEDLY act against the Church, then perhaps it wouldn't be necessary to keep warning Catholics against them. But the fact is that these organizations CONTINUE to deceive, so the Church has to keep repeating its warning. Any other church or movement would be wise to do the same.

Jesus Himself CONTINUALLY preached the same things, over and over to the same people. He tried to influence others. That is not diminishing your free will. So the Church has to do the same. Influence is not the same as coercion. You cannot force someone to really believe no matter what any religion does.

Unlike Freemasonry, there is no ambiguity with Islam. Anyone who thinks knows you cannot be a Muslim (follower of Islam) and a Christian at the same time. The two religions are obviously different. And Islam itself makes that clear. It does not try to pretend Catholics can be part of both religions.

That is NOT the case with Freemasonry. The contradictions between Christianity and Freemasonry are not always obvious at first. In fact many freemasons (though not all) continually claim that Freemasonry and the Catholic faith are compatible, and that Catholics can become freemasons without contradicting their faith. But that is UNTRUE, as the Church has made clear in its statements. Yet, so few actually know about it because of lack of access to information. And so the Church must continue to act and warn its flock.

So as long as the deception continues, the Church would be irresponsible if it failed to continue to warning its flock. One warning, or even a dozen warnings, is just NOT enough. There are a billion Catholics and the great majority do not always have access to information. Many are even denied such access by oppressive governments. The only way to reach that billion then is to continually warn them through various means. Just like what Christ Himself did.

If the deception stopped, then the need to warn the flock would simply end too. But it hasn't. I don't expect the deception to end anytime soon.

oh no, that is not how it's supposed to be.. logic tells me that any organization/religion that is incompatible with a certain religion's doctrines should deserve a slap.. you're telling me ISLAM is different? ISLAM teachings completely opposes that of the Catholic doctrine, it's no different compared to FREE-MASONRY.. why do these protestant religions debate as to whether or not theirs is the TRUE religion compared to others? the ambiguity therefore doesn't exist..

Think about it. A Catholic joins a group that has actively plotted against the Church and denies the teachings of Christ. How can the Church not call that anything else but a grave sin? Good grief! Try to understand what is going on, bro, before you start protesting.

If you become a Muslim, you are no longer a Catholic. Anyone who thinks can see that. In fact, a Catholic who becomes a Muslim can't even be excommunicated because he/she is no longer even a Christian, much less a Catholic (yes, only Catholics can be excommunicated).

The difference, however, is that the contradiction between Islam and Christianity is OBVIOUS. In the case of Freemasonry, however, some people (not all) try to hide that contradiction. Therefore the Church must make it clear. If the contradiction was obvious. there would be no need to issue warnings.
