no offense to anyone. But there are two kinds of fans; the hardcore and the just-now-fans. The hardcore fan is one who knows well about a sport and stands and supports his team all the way, be it they are winning or not. While the JUST-NOW fans are those who supports the present champion or the present dominating team. These are you so called BALIMBING fans. You can see a lot of these type of people in NBA, whoever is the champion then they go route for them. And even in football, many are now supporting Chelsea cause they are winning a lot. Oh c'mon give me a break, chelsea was nothing 3 years ago. They dont have any great fan base. Its sad, really. To see some people flocking to support Chelsea. They now have balimbing fans.

As for my case, im a hardcore fan. Been a Real Madrid fan all my life. They were the first team i really knew. My cousin gave me this football book when i was in elementary and i saw Real Madrid, I wasnt attracted by their UEFA domination in the 50's but when i saw FERENC PUSKAS , their captain with his super well-groomed-gelled-hair and warming up with a brass band, i thought that was he was the coolset player on earth, and the more i delved in the more i got addicted with the WHITES. And yeah, Madrid too now has millions of BALIMBIING fans. And it's crap

Why just now? Because before, there was no access to football games. WE dont have a cable tv until a year ago. When i happen to be in a house with a cable tv, i search for football games, and when i watch one, everybody is against me. Only business world has extensive news on football games, yet it's not available in the streets.

Why I became a chelsea fan? I'm actually a mourinho fan, and his team becomes my team. It all began, when i read an article about him and his Porto team winning the Champs League. Since internet access is now readily available, i googled him. Haven't watched any porto games nor knew anybody in POrto. Then came the chelsea offer. I first heard about chelsea from my classmate in high school (16 yrs ago) who knows almost anything about football and is really a hardcore ajax fan.

No big names that i know of. I am quite familiar with Man U, Real Madrid and Arsenal, but not chelsea FC. So i read lots of articles about chelsea. I also watch tv at dawn just to see them play against big clubs in the champs league.

Just starting, but i think i'll be sticking it out with Chelsea and whichever team mourinho coach's in the future.

....yeah, there's always a reason why you stick to a certain team. In the EPL for example, i always cheer for Newcastle because of poor old Alan Shearer. Too bad in his year as England captain, their squad is chaotic. While in Seria, Juventus is my team solely due to the charismatic Alessandro del Pierro.

Ok that's your opinion... I'm a Barcelona fan but then last year in the Champions League there were no LA LIGA team who advance in the semis stage of the competition. English and Italian teams were the last four. Liverpool were the eventual winners. LA LIGA has better quality players but not quality team players. A concrete example is your REAL MADRID. I bet they will not win the LA LIGA this year. So you cannot say that LA LIGA is better than EPL. I'm not saying also that EPL is better than LA LIGA. GO BARCELONA!!!!

this is a prime example of a just-now scenario. Don't judge the leagues with only one year's performance. The last time england dominated the euro scene was way back the 1977 to 1984 years. Other than that, it was mostly spanish and italian teams. 1999 Manchester United won it, then........six years after, another england team won. Imagine that, six years. That's not called consistent. In a sport consistency is the most important quality you should have. and a six year gap isnt a sign of being consistent.

kindly count how many times, aside from the 1977-1984 seasons, that an england team won??
