    Default Re: Call Center Sosyalera???

I have this aunt of mine. Biyuda, maot, social climber, kontrahan pirmi sa mga igsoon and works with event organizers on prestigious hotels and events. Before I got hired for work, I was a year hybrid unemployed (worked for my Dad). I was unemployed because I had a lot of responsibilities to take care of on my father's company and I would never think about working on a call center because sayang akong expertise and I would be overqualified to work on a call center. It's like dreading to work at Jollibee because I'm a egotistical bastard.

So that time, I was seeking for a job so I can separate from the work my Dad gave to me. My aunt, have organized an event in Sykes. When she came home, she approached me and told me if I want to work on Sykes kay social kuno kaayo nga lugar ug ang mga taw na nag-fashion show bullsh1t. I'm like, hell no.

A few days after, she approached my Mom. My Mom knows that I dread call centers so much and my aunt told my Mom if she could convince me to work there because I'm so qualified kuno (well f--k you, I'm overqualified). Even my Mom hates me because I hate Call Centers bisag trabaho nang sigurado ug dakog sweldo. Ngano pa kunong mangita pa gyud kog lain.

But then my Mom's tone changed. She told my aunt na, "Tan-awa kuno be, nganong akong anak wala pa man nay trabaho hangtod karon? Do you really think ganahan siyag call center? Kung ganahan gyud na akong anak ug call center, kanyahay ra nang naay trabaho a year ago. Sosyal? Then mao lagi, nganong wala man gyud siya mosulod ug call center at the period of his unemployment? He doesn't want call centers because he's overqualified and call centers are like sweat shops".

(Pardon for the sweat shop stereotype, pero that's also one of the reasons why I don't like taking calls)

My aunt shut her mouth and asked my Mom to talk something else

But recovering from all of that digression above, I have to say na there's no stopping agents to be socialeros/socialeras. Just remember that when you come to work, you're still working at one of the jobs that I dread and I give my respects to those who are humble enough that realizes that kapoy ang Call Center; that it is not worthy bragging of if mag-social social ka. Social Climbers can thicken their faces and conceal their job whenever they want, ayaw lang mo pabuking nako
