i heard this on the radio this morning.

couple lost their jobs... the dad killed his wife first, then shot and killed his 5 children... then shot and killed himself. according to police, the dad killed ALL his children because he didn't want them growing up knowing that both their parents are not working.

desperate situations call for desperate measures.

i don't wanna be so pessimistic here (i feel like i'm starting to sound pessimistic), but let's face the reality. excited pa kaayo ta kay bag-o abot America. i actually felt the same way katong bag-o pako diri, but then after a few weeks/months, REALITY slaps you hard like a bitch. i was hit hard katong bag-o pako, since i went to college here a few months after i arrived. then kani lagi college student ta, di ta kahibaw mu da ug kwarta... waldas diri, waldas didto... ahahahaha...

simple advice for the newcomers, spend and use your resources wisely. it's a friendly advise.

3 miles of walking seems unrealistic, you must be in a very remote suburb in America.
Carpooling is a norm usually practiced in the west coast.

    give yourself 3 years from.
Dont complain, everyone goes through such stepping stone, somewhat the road to success....

Here in th Philippines....Your chance to sustain your needs is so bleak.

I cant hardly breathe,... til next time
i hope di ka makalitan sa imo gi-atubang karon na mga VALUE sa sweldo! plus gipa test drive mo ug car and myt bring the car home with no downpayment at all....

just think of it, imo gi kwenta na sweldo is GROSS ANNUAL, have u known how much tax will u be paying sa state ur in? if u have 3 taxes: federal, state and city/county? of course, ang mga auto inyo gi test ky kulang nalang ipanghatag tungod sa economy karon na halos way mamalit. DONT FORGET TO READ THE FINE PRINTS basi mabiktima ka sa panghagad nila. how much APR will u be paying sa car? wat about ur car insurance coverage? nindot kaau huna-hunaon no ang gipang offer BUT take it slow before mo sink in sa mind nimo pila imo net madawat sa paycheck nimo puhon.

advise lang, this isnt all bed of roses dri infact u will be earning dollars and will be spending dollars as well. unya na kwenta sa mga MINILYONES kung naa na sa imo kamot. d sa crab mentality ky m against that...pero live by your means lang! dont be like others na grabe ang pretense

I appreciate everyone's comments and warning thoughts.

I know my situation comes with great responsibility.
I have been to the lows of lows.
I wont loose a thing, I came as nothing, whatever I gained its His Will.
I will face the challenges head-on, NO FEAR.

I will keep some of the important information.
I beat the odds, if my Career will flourish in a foreign land, be it.
If I will drive a Porsche, I believe I can afford it.
If I will dine at Wolfgang Puck tomorrow, its because I am paying for it.
If I will be approved of a mortgage, the bank must have trust in me.

These things are non existent in the Philippines.
The place I trusted and offered my service and expertise first.
The Country who could have enjoyed the best professionals there is.
I am a product of the Philippine Education but other country is the one enjoying my Service.

I felt bad to my country I have high-hoped for.
Its disappointing to learn that I have to downgrade my qualification hoping to land a job, no luck.
Its frustrating that we have nice structures, hotels and golf club but only caters to the foreigners.
No ounce of will and perseverance were appreciated in our Country.
