Maayong adlaw kaninyo nga tanan mga kauban ug mga kahigalaan.....Usa ako sa nakasubay sa inyong mga nagkadaiyang mga opinyon....Akong ginasugdan ug basa ang tanan nga mag nahisgutan gikan sa kinaunahan ug hangtod sa naulahi....Nanghinaot ako nga masabtan ninyo ang akong mga pinobre nga mensahe tungod kay hinay ako kaayo sa pinulongang englis.....

Ang ako lang nga ika-estorya mao kining mga mosunod:

1. Ang CPP kun Communist Party of the Philippines mao mismo ang nagpasiugda sa tanang mga kagubot nga atong giatubang karon,Gitukod kini niadtong tuig 1968 nga pinangulohan ni (JOMA) Jose Maria Sison..Mao kana ang utok. Samtang ang NPA mao ang espada nga maoy gamiton aron sa pagpanghasi sa gobyerno ug sa mga katawhan nga wala mo-simpatiya kanila Samtang ang NDF kun National Democratic Front mao ang ilahang gamiton aron palihukon ang legal nga pamaagi sama sa medya, Simbahan,mga caused-oriented groups kun mga walhong pundok, gigamit usab ang mga kabatan-onan ug mga estudyante sama sa LFS kun league of Filipino Students etc.Kun atong tukion ang NDF mao usab ang Taming isip pagpanagang para kuno sa ilang mga katungod nga makigbisog ug nagkombinser sa mga katawhan nga ipadayon ang rebulosyonaryong gobyerno....Timan-i nga hasta ang gobyerno nasudlan na sa mga komunista ug usa kana sa hinungdan kun ngano nga kitang mga kabus pabilin sa pagkakabus....taas na kun estoryahun ko pa kini.
2. Ang tumong lamang sa komunista mao ang paglumpag sa sistema sa atong pangGobyerno ug aron lamang matukod ang dugay na nila nga gipangandoy nga kagawasan (pagkatoytoy)....
3. Samtang nangilad sila sa mga mamumuo sa pag-apil sa mga unyon(sama sa KMU) aron lang ipataas ang ilang sahod inay wala nila mahibaloi nga ang tumong usab sa mga komunista mao ang pagpasira sa mga dagkong pabrika,kompanya,ug uban pang mga negosyo sa nasod nga maoy usa sa nakatabang pagpalambo sa atong ekonomiya.
4. Tan-awa ra ang atong kahimtang karon kun itandi sa mga nangaging panahon.....
Sa akong naabtan, Ang Pilipinas maoy nag-una sa agrikultura.....pero subo kaayo nga paminawon nga mangangkat nalang kita karon ug mga bugas sa ubang mga kanasuran......(Ang hinungdan?) Dili na humay ang gipangtanum sa atung mga mag-uuma karon....kun dili M-14,M-16,M1 Garand ug uban pang mga makaon sa kamatayon.
5. Kun atong pinsaron gayud.......Dili unta mayano ug tintal ang atong mga kaigsuonang mga kabus nga
kasagaran magmalinawon unta nga nanginabuhi sa kabukiran kun aduna palay igong edukasyon para
kanila aron masabtan kun unsay maayo ug sayop.....(Apan unsaon man pagpalambo sa gobyerno sa
atong mga kabukiran kun nagpadayon pa gihapon ang insurhensiya?)
6. Anaa akoy mabasahan sa kadalanan nga "BOOKS NOT BULLETS!!!".......(Ang pangutana: Nganong
dili man sila (mga walhong pundok) mismo makahangyo sa mga rebelde nga "Surrender namo intawon,
Aron Libro na ang paliton sa atong Gobyerno ug dili na Bala". Kana matuman na gayud ang ilang mga
yangongo.....
7. Kung gusto sila ug ceasefire, nganong dili naman lang nila i-turn over ang ilahang mga armas aron
wala na gayuy umaabot pa nga kagubot....(Samtang naa pay armas, naa pay kagubot nga mahitabo).
8. Bag-ohay palang nahitabo nga ang gobyerno nagpadala ug 250 ka mga sakyanan nga karga ang mga
linibo nga mga hinabang para sa mga biktima sa bagyo sa Bicol......nganong wala man sila(mga walhon)
makadayeg sa gobyerno? bisan ug kausa ra unta...Hinuon ilang gipangitaan ug problema ang gobyerno
ug pagsaway...(Ang gobyerno sama ra sa usa ka tawo, walay tawo nga mutabang sa tawo nga nag-
pakauwaw kaniya ug nagduot ngadto sa kinailadman padulong ngadto sa pagkakabus...)
sa gikaingon ko na mga kauban... Pag-rally mo ug sige aron tabangan mo sa gobyerno(milagro na!).
9. Nagdako kita sa nasod nga Demokrasya....ampingi ang atong kagawasan ug ayaw pagpadala sa mga
kabuang sa mga komunista.....kay wala kay kompleto nga kagawasan sa nasod nga komunista.........
10. Ikaw, Isip usa ka edukado nga pagkatawo.....Pinsara ug maayo kun asa ka sa duha...Demokrasya?
o Komunista?......walay makabuot sa imong desisyon tungod kay gihatagan ka ug kagawasan sa
pagpili sa imong gusto.....apan panamini una ug tugkara ang mamahimong resulta sa imong mga desisyon
ganahan ka ba nga magsugod kita sa pinakaunang ang-ang sa panginabuhi? ug samtang masugamak mo
kana....magpadayon ang usa ka malungtaron ug madugoong Gubat kun civil nga giyera sa atong nasod.
" kana kung mahitabo gayud nga mamahimong usa ka komunista nga nasod ang Pilipinas".
11. Kung gusto kamo ug kalinaw, hatagi ug importansiya ang atong mga pamilya nungka nga mag-apilapil ka sa mga kasamok sa kadalanan ug sa pamolitika, Ayaw nalang labara ang imong ulo sa pagpaningil sa gobyerno kun asa na ang atong mga
hinaguan napunta, kay walay bisan kinsang maayong tawo nga nabutang sa puwesto
nga perpekto sa iyaha nga pagdumala ug pagserbisyo sa katawhan….
(kun ikaw kaha ang ibutang sa usa ka puwesto sa politika,dili ka ba makahunahuna ug dautan para sa kaugaligon mo nga kaayohan? Basta, bisan paman niana.. naa gihapoy daghang mga natuman ug nabuhat nga mga proyekto ang atong –
gobyerno…kinsa ramay dili mabuhong sa iyang pagkakurapt?.
12. Kung gusto ka nga makatabang sa kalisod karon….hangyoa ang inyoha nga mga kaparyentehan nga nahaylo sa mga komunista sa paghunong sa ilang suporta ug sa pagkombinser sa inyong mga higala nga dili na kinahanglan pa nga magrebelde aron lamang matuman ang atong mga kaligutgot ug sa pagpasabot diha kanila kung unsa ka importante kanato ang demokrasya nga maoy atong namataan sukad pa sa ato nga pagkabata….Buhata ang tanan bisan sa pagpasabot lang unta sa atong mga kaigsuonan nga dili gayud maayo nga ipatuman ang komunistang gobyerno nga maoy gisigihan ug siyagit sa mga aktibista diha taliwala sa kadalanan. Usa ako karon ka Pro-Democracy
ug mas nakasabot ako nga mas bug-at ang kalipay ubos sa Demokrasya kun ikumpara sa
komunista nga patas ang tanan( Apan babagan ang imong mga pangandoy sa kinabuhi).
13. Nahibalo ka ba nga dili ikaguol sa mga rebelde kung adunay matigbak sa ilang
grupo?ngano man? Kay matag usa ka miyembro nga mamatay aduna gayuy mga pamilya,asawa,anak,etc. nga maghilak ug maglagot samtang dili makadawat sa panahon nga aduna silay mga hinigugmang nahanaw…..ug wala na gayuy lain nga pahimungtan kun dili ang gobyerno…..(Kasagaran sa mga pangatarungan nga ilaha nga ipalakad mao nga ang mga nangamatay daw mga mag-uuma lamang ug dili mga rebelde) Apan ang tinuod….kasagaran sa mga nangamatay puros mga” Lokal Militia” sa NPA ginamit lamang ang mga ginagmay nga mga armas ug walay mga eksperyensya sa panag-engkwentro,samtang ang mga hanas na magpalayo sa mao nga lugar ug mangita ug taas taas nga kapwestuhan.

Mao kini ang uban sa mga grupo nga nagsuporta sa komunista gamit ang
propaganda o paglaylo sa mga katawhan nga makombinser sa ilahang mga opinion.

Bahin sa akong kaugalingon….kung gusto kamo nga mahibalo sa ako nga kinabuhi.
Usa ako ka sakop sa komunistang New Peoples Army kaniadto. Nagsugod ako pagkaaktibo niadtong dekada ‘80,Sa nag-edad pa ako ug 18…..Usa na ako ka MRGU kun Main Regular Guirella Unit under sa usa ka Front Committee… Nakaserbisyo usab ako isip usa ka Sparrow Unit Liquidition Squad member, Ug usa usab ako ka Political officer sa NPA kaniadto,.Dili malikayan nga makabsan o masamdan kami taliwala sa
madugoong panag-engkwentro tali sa mga military ug kanamo….ug sa wala damha nga hitabo gibiyaan ako sa akong mga kauban taliwala sa panag-engkwentro sa usa ka bukiron nga dapit dinhi mismo sa Sugbu…..samaran ako sa akong tuong aping, batiis ug sa bukton niadtong tungora…Ug tungod kay bardado na ako ug kahimtang, ug naglikay usab kami nga adunay madakpan nga buhi….Ila ako nga gitipi sa pagtuo nga patay na ko.
Sukad niadto nga hitabo, Gibag-o na ang akong kinabuhi sa usa ka sakop sa militar.
Diri nagsugod ang akong kahimungot sa mga komunista ug ako na nga ginabasulan
ug ginabayaran ang tanan nako nga nabuhat ubos sa kinabuhing komunista….Ug karon
nagmata na gayud ako sa akong kaugalingon nga dili na gayod mausab pa ang tanang
mga pag-antos,kasakit ug kagutom sa pagrebelde. Dili na…….Sa pagkakaron…usa na
ako ka loyal nga sakop sa NEW GUARDIANS INC. ug wala damha nga nakabasa lamang ako sa mga isyo dinhi nga nakahatag kanako ug dako nga pagtagad.

^ This is a good job for the AFP. In as much as we want to impose professionalism within the ranks of the military, our military is already showing that it can do its job to defend its people. To give these rebels a second chance is also a concern of the military.

I also heard there's a four-day ceasefire in time with the holiday season. The government deemed it best to give respect for the spirit of the holidays. For sure, our soldiers will be much happier spending their Christmas with their families.

US counterterrorism aid to continue despite Balikatan cancellation

The US military will continue to assist and advise the Armed Forces of the Philippines on counter-terrorism despite the cancellation of the annual Balikatan joint military exercises scheduled for February next year.

Maj. John Redfield, spokesman for the US Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines (JSOTF-P), said the principal mission of the US forces in the country is to assist their Filipino counterparts in the fight against terrorism and that the Balikatan is just an added security program.

"The JSOTF-P will continue to advise and assist the Armed Forces of the Philippines — our counterpart," Redfield said in Zamboanga City. "The standing mission has not been affected."

The US canceled Balikatan following its failure to get custody of convicted rapist Marine Lance Corporal Daniel Smith, who is detained at the Makati City jail. Makati Judge Benjamin Pozon sentenced Smith to 40 years in prison for raping a Filipina publicly called "Nicole," in Subic more than a year ago. Pozon rejected a plea by Smith’s lawyers that the convicted Marine be placed under US Embassy custody while an appeal on his case is being heard.

Redfield said that after the announcement of the cancellation of Balikatan, American soldiers held humanitarian activities at an orphanage in Zamboanga City.

American troops, he added, continued to provide technical assistance to Filipino soldiers hunting members of terror groups Abu Sayyaf and Indonesia-based Jemaah Islamiyah.

He said US Navy P-3 Orion spy planes still regularly fly over Sulu sending intelligence information to Filipino forces on the ground. Redfield also cited the presence of a significant number of US troops in Sulu even after the decision to cancel Balikatan.

But the US also stands to lose with its cancellation of the Balikatan exercises, according to AFP spokesman Bartolome Bacarro. He said American soldiers had learned immensely from their Filipino counterparts, especially in terms of jungle warfare and survival techniques.

"The training is symbiotic. They learn from us guerrilla warfare. So it’s also a training opportunity loss for them," he said.

"It’s very unfortunate that this thing (Balikatan suspension) happened. Indeed, the AFP will be missing a lot," he said.

A visiting US official said recently that troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan had gained much from Balikatan.

Thirty-three rebels recently surrendered, apparently due to the hardships they experienced in the mountains. The poor footsoldiers are sacrificing their lives here while Joma Sison is enjoying a life of luxury in the Netherlands.

Hopefully these rebels who surrendered will be given a chance to turn over a new leaf.

Military cites gains against insurgents

THE head of the Armed Forces admitted yesterday that the 38-year-old communist insurgency may not be eliminated but the rebels could be cut down to only 3,500 fighters by the end of 2010.

“We have gained so much momentum against the NPA considering that we have reduced them from 12,000 fighters in 2002 to their present strength of 7,000, or a reduction of 1,000 every year,” Armed Forces Chief Hermogenes Esperon Jr. said.

“If we focus our operations, I’m sure we could get more than 1,000 every year... My estimate is that the NPA will be down to 3,500 by 2010.”

On June 16, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ordered the military to crush the NPA, the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines, in two years and allotted P2 billion for it.

Military specialists had said that the President’s deadline was “achievable” but admitted that a “military solution was not enough” to end the insurgency.

Esperon said earlier that a big chunk of the budget allotted to crush the communists would be used to develop rebel-infested areas.

The CPP claims that its fighters operate in more than 120 guerrilla zones covering 800 municipalities in 70 of 79 provinces. It says each guerrilla front has the strength of one company and is equipped with high-powered rifles.

But Esperon said the government had the upperhand.

“If we could put them at an inconsequential strength, then that should be it,” he said.

“We could say we have the strategic victory against them. There are things other than just the strength. There are other things that we have to consider in a holistic approach to the insurgency problem and this we will do together with the other agencies.”

For the first time in its history, the communists rejected the government’s offer of a unilateral ceasefire saying it was a “ploy.”

It ordered its fighters to intensify their recruitment and tactical offensive against the government.

The communists also ordered their fighters to arrest and execute those that they said were behind the spate of political killings in the country.

“The CPP [has] directed the NPA to form teams with the determination and skills and... choose the time and place for arresting the criminals and bringing them to justice or for giving battle to those who are well-armed and cannot be peaceably arrested,” the party said in a statement.

The anti-insurgency war should be waged on all fronts. it should be coupled with the government's efforts against poverty, smuggling, illegal drugs, corruption and other ills of the country. By this means, the grassroots support for the NPA would diminish.

All out war? Where is the enemy? You dont find NPAs massing in camps. Its not a conventional war. Its like the government is on a quail hunting. Problem is its usually the demoralized AFP under GMA who gets ambushed.
