great help. made my job so much easier. anyway, ive had this prob... when he boots to his pc using xp home, he clicks on the user name and when it starts to boot up to his desktop, it loops back to the user login screen... can u help me with this?

try safe mode and login as administrator. backup the user's data located at "documents and settings" folder (desktop, my documents, etc...). Delete and re-create the profile kay basin na corrupt lang iyang profile.

unsay service pack sa imong XP?
wala kay gitaod na bag-o na hardware or install ug software driver, servicepacks, hotfix?
if wala, usually memory problem na or naay na corrupt na system file. maayo unta ma post nimo ang first few lines na error diri...

kung mu boot ka using your XP CD.. naay option diha to repair your existing XP.

if walay prob imong hardware unya wala kay importante na files... maypa reinstall nalang ka. mas mayo man gud fresh imong system.. bahala na dugay install.. kaysa madugay ka pangita ug ayo sa guba.

bai.. unsay motherboard brand ug model? naa man gud boards na dili musupport sa SP2 unless ma update ang iyang BIOS. i suggest u update your BIOS if there's an available stable BIOS update.

i've experienced it with one of the ASUS boards. The only next update to its BIOS is still a beta version but still i tried it. After the update, i was able to install the SP2. :mrgreen:
