if we all think AMD has the value segment in overall performance..

    we are all wrong.

    read this :

    read this : http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/09/...re/page11.html

and read for your self.and amaze how the Pentium Dual Core E2160 at 3.2ghz with stock cooling fan can perform ala e6700.

    for only 89$ a piece.

    definitely an overclocking king.

and put high end dual core X2s to trouble in terms of performance headroom, price value.

either AMD or INTEL, basta dili ka mo-OC. dili na mu-matter. very slight diff ra ang gain sa performance.

    Pentium Dual Core E2160 - 4000.00
    Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P - 9250.00
    Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 (2*512MB) - 3330.00
    2*160GB WD Caviar (Raid 0) or 1*320GB WD Caviar - 2700.00*2/4370.00
    LG 18x DVD+/-RW GSA-H62LWH (Sata) w/lightscribe - 1820.00
    Inno3D 8800GTS 320 MB - 14510.00
    HEC Win Power 550W - 4200.00

    TOTAL - 42510.00/41450.00

(you might want a good case)

Note: You can always have a different Vcard, say 8600GTS or lesser, just don't go for DDR2 or lower memory. (HD 2600 at Xfire sounds good). The reason for the Pentium Dual Core is that it is really cheap for something that can go as high as 3.2 GHz, yes 3.2GHz(from stock at 1.8GHz), and thats an 80% increase in performance. Paired with any FSB-1333 ready mobo, overclocking would be a walk in the park. Gigabyte is absolutely(in my opinon), the best o'clocking mobo in town. You can adjust settings at BIOS without breaking a sweat. It has an auto-voltage feature that would automatically increase voltage as you increase clock speed. P Dual Core @ 2.5-3.0 GHz may already be more than enough to handle all other games we find in cafes. Just make sure you have proper ventilation to have better performance. Also, increase the voltage input for the RAM to have a stable rig(to avoid BSOD). This rig will slice through day-to-day apps and almost everything you throw at it(almost), like hot knife through butter. And if you find a better dealer, you might get this at less than 40K.
