Actually, Argentina is not really concerned about the FIBA Qualifiers. They're in a somewhat win-win situation in FIBA America with regards to making it to the Olympics:
1.) Most likely, USA is one of the two teams that would advance in this FIBA America tournament and the second team is still being up for grabs. Argentina and Brazil are most likely the two teams that will slug it out. Statistics tell me that Argentina will not go down lower than 5th in FIBA USA. If they end up 2nd, probably the highest any team can besides USA, they automatically make it to the Olympics.
2.) 3rd, 4th, and 5th placers in FIBA America will automatically join a somewhat world championships with other countries worldwide to determine the final 3 qualifiers in the Olympics. Most likely, if Argentina will fall in this tournament, Manu Ginobili, Fabricio Oberto and the rest will probably be present. There's no doubt Argentina can't make it better than 3rd if they've got this line-up.
It's certain that Ginobili and the rest will be present in the Olympics. Anyway, Argentina is a sure shot at the Olympics no matter what. For now, they're in a better situation. They're both undefeated along with USA. Who cares anyway if they lose against USA in the FIBA if they make it to the Olympics outright.
