The recent encounter in Basilan was with the Abu Sayaff Group. This group has been in the news for the past days starting from the hunt for the killers of the Marines in July. They were alleged to be involved in the kidnapping of Fr. Bossi and the beheading of the soldiers. Unfortunately, our troops have suffered a lot already.

Nevertheless, the President's call for a continued offensive in Mindanao is still a good call. Now that the military has suffered large casualties in this war, our brave soldiers will surely be more than willing to push through in putting an end in the ASG's atrocities.

I agree they should not stop to seriously, i really mean seriously anihilate these terrorist . They should not stop. Marunung manang mga abu sayaff kay once tan-aw nila wa na silay resources or low na ang moral sa ilang mga taw, mo pahigayun daun na sila ug peace talks, and surprisingly ang government mo sakay sad...

BOgo ang government or business as usual ?

I have had it with these terrorists. This country is already suffering internally as it is. I say to achieve peace in the region once and for all is to get rid of these warmongers.

I hate it when I heard news that the MILF rebels helped the known terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group when it was attacked by the military. How can they invoke their rights in peace negotiations if they are violating the rules laid down on the negotiating table? There will really be no end with this war in Mindanao if those groups to which we are trying to have a peace accord will just turn their backs and help those terrorists.

It seems the only solution is to dissolve all of them. There’s a thin line delineating these groups of insurgents and terrorists, if there's anything left.

we don't even know whos milf or abu sayaff, no solution to this expect that if we use military force mahurot nalang ato military dili gihapon masulbad ang problema, some criminals are even branded as abu sayaff or milf even if they werent really part of these groups. Kinahanglan gyud og more focus ang mindanao, i mean lets give focus on mindanao kay kun sa body part pa hapit nani siya maputol.

parehas ragod sa diabetic patients kun dili sila mu take good care sa ila tiil (mindanao) dako ug chance nga ma amputate. since ang tiil (mindanao) layo sa heart dugay about ang blood supply so mas needed cya nga bantayan.
