Cons and Pros of Windows Vista
Cons:
1. As everyone said the price of Windows Vista is just to expensive, except you are using a pirated for you internet, imagine 1 licensed windows vista would price about 25 - 29k for ultimate, it's not practical if you want your business to earn a big amount.
2. As of now almost all old hardwares need new installers for windows vista. so other words, you have to find a printer, scanner and other peripherals that is already vista ready, so if your in internetcafe business, sorry to tell you it's not practical. as everyone knows it only takes 1month your pc would be obsolete.
3. As what i heard from a friend who is working in microsoft, yup a filipino, there are still a lot of loop whole's, it's not that im discouraging everyone not to use windows vista, it's just its new and everyone knows if its new it still has a lot of problems.
4. Will as what i said in first place, you must have a lot of money to maintain software and hardware, just for windows vista you need almost 10gg for harddisk, and atleast 1gg for ram, some said its alright 512mb but i tested it yup it runs but limited, you can't put it in full blast. and processor, it seems right now single core is about to be face out. so duo is advisable... if you calculate the price, i think just 1unit of pc would almost reach 35k-40k...hi...excluding the windows vista...
pros:
1. as i used windows vista in my house and office, yup its cool, it graphics is nice, "except i can't use my old printer, i have to buy a new printer that is windows vista ready, i can't wait for the release of the software of my old printer".
2. security is amazing alright... i haven't tested it in network, i have to ask our supervisor to test it... but one thing i can say it has a secured system.
i think this are the only things i notice... in other words,"graphics raman ni windows vista nindot".
sir if your planning in opening an internetcafe then windows vista, it's not advisable yet sir, even here in the company im working we don't advice yet to change all our OS to vista, only 5percent of pc here of my company are vista only and we have almost 1500pc units...so you can see its not yet advisable...maybe for home use i can say go for it... and also make sure ha na nindot imo casing design and lcd monitor para ultimate nice gyud... hehehe...sige hope you are able to read this, as mostly everyone advice here... windows Xp sp2 is advisable and right now most stable OS being used... and if ever you still insist on buying windows vista, make sure you hire someone that already have experience in using windows vista and knows how to configure it and make sure its not pirated or see you in prison...hehehe...
The OEM licenses for Vista and XP are similarly priced, at around P 10k. P 26k (reminds me of that gameshow) for Vista is I think for the Retail versions. Cost shouldn't be an issue when upgrading to Vista; it should be about software support and compatibility. You need at least 2 GB RAM for it to work smoothly, especially for games.
Stay away from Vista as of this time.
