Actually.... I was just talking din to a friend about this...people need to be informed that salads need not be sosi sosi tawn. Most masa people think kasi that having salad with dinner means that you are sosi already. Maybe din kasi ang ibang ingredients mahal....pero I go carbon-ing (go to carbon market) and I buy my lettuce there man and ang per kilo price nya payts ra man.... it is not mahal (depends din sa season). Your 30-40p a kilo...dami dami na yan.
What I am trying to say is that we dont need to educate just the restaurants.... but the schools... the kids... let them know that eating salad is ok even if you are having humba. One time gani I had salad and tuyo hahahaha.
But K has a point...if we can find a way to store them longer... we can make it cheaper... so people like me can buy romaine anytime. Hehehehe.
It is hard to teach old dogs new tricks...including the palate...but I have a son who eats kangkong like a "masa" goat... one time....and munches on carrot sticks sa salad on another day.
You know what.... sana there is an NGO here or something (just an idea just now lang jud) na mag push ng veggie eating... mainly salad greens... tapos meron sila mascot... si SUPER SALAD. hahahahaha. Tapos go from school to school both public and private... and let kids taste salad (kahit na lang with catsup and mayo hehehehe) and have salad ingredients there too for sale na mura. Tapos ang mga proponents/financiers ay mga salad green growers hahahhahaha.
Oh well...me and my ideas... basta I am looking forward to those pomodoros Gwyn.... harvest gani ka... ako dala balsamic si Insik sa Olive Oil. hehehehehehe.
