Seven people were killed and three people were injured in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu province Saturday when a Philippine Air Force helicopter crashed, ABS-CBN News reported.

ABS-CBN Cebu Correspondent Kara Mae Noveda reported that the military helicopter plunged into the middle of a road in Barangay Humay-Humay around 6 p.m., hitting two tricycles plying the highway and instantly killing all the passengers.

The remains of the unidentified fatalities – five females and two males – were brought to funeral homes while three of the four passengers of the helicopter were rushed to Mactan Doctors’ Hospital, the report said. An earlier report erroneously mentioned that all helicopter passengers were killed.

The report said the survivors are in critical condition. The report did not, however, mention the condition of the fourth passenger of the helicopter.

Authorities have yet to establish the destination of the helicopter before the incident occurred.

i saw news when i this morning sa ABS CBN. they blame that "tabanog thing" nylon mao reason na crash ang helicopter

so what about in actual war na... unsaon nlang kha.. before naay report na crush pd kd2 babe abng pilot sa helicopter nga gamay na crash pud.. wala pa gani g gubat na crash na....

in my opinion lang ha, dapat civilians should not swarm to incidents/accidents like this. it is not the job of the civilians to get those people out of those wrecked vehicles. mao to naglisod ang medical team ug firemen to get the victims and transport kay pirting daghanang tawo. wa tay safety protocol when it comes to accidents. bisan gani ang na-train ug first aid di mag sayon2X ug kuha ato. mao sad siguro naputol ug tiwas ang ulo ug lawas kay gipugos ug kuha. kung naay ingon ani nga accidents dapat firemen ang mokuha kay naa sila proper equipments. ang ato lang is mo-clear ta sa path para makaagi ang bombero ug mga medics.

ang regarding sa gibuhat sa ERUF, insakto man to. ang first nga atimanon ang dako ug chance nga mo-survive. di na sila motan-aw ug tagalog or cebuano ba ang biktima. IMHO

your right marquee, ganito na talaga ang mga pinoy, mapa tagalog man o bisaya, aksidente man o hostage..... basta maki uzi lang at makakita sa mga pangyayari wala na sila paki alam kung madadamay sila o hindi.

damn...i really don't think a mere kite could cause that air-bound vehicle to crash...it's not like its titanium or whatsoever (like diem said)...
i was outside our house when the helicopter was flying at "really-really" low altitude...the crash site was just at the back (on a few walking distance) from our house...and near that crash site was a sort of vast open field,but it cannot be viewed easily from the crash site...the field i'm talking about is near the cemetery, another walking distance from the site...when i first saw the helicopter flying at low altitude, i sensed something was wrong...it was flying in circles where the radius i assumed was the open field...and the way i see it, the pilot tried to drop the helicopter in the open field but failed in it...
also, my uncle had called his friend pilot in the military immediately upon knowing the incident minutes later...and to my surprise he said his friend was supposed to fly that helicopter yet they changed shifts with the pilot in the accident...and his friend also told him it was a "TEST FLIGHT" for the helicopter if it was working at good condition, not a flight training as mentioned in the Media...and i can say that the kite nylon/string couldn't be the mere cause of the crash...tsk tsk
