doppleganger could be explained by this scientifically:

The syndrome of subjective doubles is a rare delusional misidentification syndrome in which a person suffers from the delusion that he or she has a double or doppelganger with the same appearance, but usually with different character traits and leading a life of its own. Sometimes the patient has the idea that there is more than one double. The syndrome is usually the result of a neurological disorder, mental disorder or some form of brain damage, particularly to the right cerebral hemisphere.

Sometimes the delusion takes the form of a conviction that whole or part of the patient's personality has been transferred into another person. In this case depersonalization may be a symptom. One example from medical literature is of a man who became depersonalized after an operation and was convinced his brain had been placed into someone else's head. He later claimed he recognized this person.

The syndrome is sometimes comorbid with Capgras delusion, leading to it to be named "subjective Capgras syndrome" in some instances.


so if you experience what you call as "doppleganger phenomena", call a doctor quickly cause you may have some type of a brain disorder that science could explain to you...

"doppelganger phenomenon" is not just an inner disease...or a belief that you have a double
kay most of the phenomena occurs with a third party involved
like a a friend sees you walking down the street, and would greet you, "hi"
and will be puzzled why you didnt respond (coz the doubles were accounted as nonresponsive)
and when you call the person to ask if there's a problem between the two of you
he will suddenly discover that you were actually in your own room surfing istorya
yes we dismiss it as a case of mistaken identity
but if a lot of people are involved at the same time and in a certain span of time
could we still dismiss it as that? or diagnose it as mass hysteria?

the pathophysiologic etiology of having a doppelganger
can be also related to psychological imbalances within the person
like alter egos, multiple personality disorders, etc.
but the "manifestation" of the said phenomena
needs a third party to confirm the reality of your double

true, some accounts would say that doppelgangers are actually entities
who copies certain people for some unknown reason to get his/her life
pero andami ring other causes that is attributed to the doppel ganger phenomena:
- unconsicious bilocation ability (may cps member kameng ganyan)
- astral travel and OBE or conscious energy projection of some occultists
- poltergeist phenomena caused by a disturbed and psychic teen ager

kaya it's hard to figure out which is which...

ang amiga sa akong uyab kay naka bantay nako naa daw ko dapit sa voyager kanang sa colon gani.. nya eskina ga kaun ug mani.. ga black tshirt ko... then ning txt tong amiga sa akong uyab sa akong uyab nga naa daw ko ngadto.. then ning relay message akong gf nako nganu daw lakaw lakaw ko na walay pananghid.. toink.. naa ra man ko sa amoa ga mok mok kay gikan ga away sa kaong gf..

i think ang na ka cause ato kay katong down kaayu ko at that time coz sa mga problema, stress, and away pa jud sa gf.. thats my personal experience...

well i did have one experience with a doppelganger entity type:

i was 3rd yr college that time in UP mla
and my friends were hanging out sa boarding house ng isa naming friend
then our friend who was also a boardmate arrived
he was in his usual white medschool uniform
but his face was expressionless and he seemed distant
we all greeted him but he just went passed us (we were in front porch)
to the house and went straight up to his room
we were surprised why he reacted that way and so his boardmate went up
to ask what was wrong with him or if he has any problems..etc.
he kept on knocking the door but he did not answered
and so we went on with our tambayan foodtrip session
10-20 minutes later, our friend who was suppossedly up in the room arrived
we were all shocked since we never saw him go out the gate
(it's quite impossible not to notice anyone going in and out the gate since the porch is quite small)
our friend was also in the white medschool uniform
and smiled and greeted us when he saw us
we all looked at each other and told him we just saw him go in a few minutes ago
looking distant and didnt bother to greet us back
so we were all bothered by it and would like to know if he has a problem
he said, that's quite impossible, since he just came from a class
and he's actually very happy since he found out he aced an exam
so the question remains, who was that person who went up his room?
we all , then, accompanied upstairs to his room
he got his key and opened the door
but no one was there.
So what was it? I couldn't dismiss it as hallucination
since we were all just eating kikiam and squidballs and drinking softdrinks (no liquor)
and everybody saw him in flesh and blood
that's how i got interested in doppelgangers ever since.

Naa koy indirect experience ani. I was in 4th grade unya among classroom naay kaugalingong CR. It was me and my seatmate's turn to clean it that day. We were almost done and I was just getting ready to leave when I realized I had lost sight of her. Then I found a couple of my classmates blocking and pushing on the CR's doorway, they were all giggling so I asked them why. They said my cleaning partner was still inside and they were teasing her. Ni apil pud ko'g duot duot sa pultahan but when we did not hear any words of protest from inside, I imagined maybe she was already crying silently (na guilty ko). It was then that we saw her outside, on her way to the classroom, bringing a small gallon of water. Lumbaanay gyud sila'g dagan. Since then they would ask her "ungo ka? ungo ka?"
