@rockart9: SUEDE will take the book off my hands when he comes back from Manila. You better ask him that question afterwardsYou can send him P 1,500 and ask him to buy you a new copy at FullyBooked Makati. I saw they restocked before I returned to Cebu.
Ey..Asked my teacher, Sir Gabriel Abellana..
He said he'll help us find a model. He said usually the cost for hiring one is 1200-1500PHP. He was asking where the venue was going to be held. He seemed quite interested in helping.. XD

My cousin-in-law did recommend a certain Abellana (I think there are two artists with that last name here in Cebu) but if he's the one living in Guadalupe, then that's him. Ask him how much his fees are as well. Show him the images I posted so he'd have an idea what we want to learn. Basically, we need to learn (a) how to sketch quick poses and (b) draw ong ones.
Thanks.
@cmontoya, i was probably the youngest member way back in '89 when my "maestro" Mateo Beronga sponsored me to be a member. heck, i even attended their meetings at the Rizal Library(along Fuente) and Professor Jumalon was still alive then to preside the meetings. dayon na-inactive na ko during college and after. pero 3 years ago, i bumped into rudy mañero(who didn't know me! hehe!) ug nagpabaga ko'g introduce sa akong kaugalingon. it was a funny scene at ayala when i suddenly walked up to him and told him, "ikaw si rudy mañero, di ba?". he instantly said no! haha! gahuna-huna siguro siya nga hired killer ko and just wanted to confirm his name. hehehehe! anyways, he owned up to his name after i introduced myself more and that i wanted to join the CAA again. so i went to their exhibit at SM that time and paid a membership fee to reactivate my status. Pero since naa ko diri sa Manila, wa na gyud koy chance to be active. So nalubong na sad ko sa kalimot.Originally Posted by cmontoya
If their membership rules haven't changed, I think you need sponsorship from someone inside and need to present your works for evaluation. But I'm not sure on this na. Basin lahi na karon.
I use to do something similar with workshops on nude photography...
...but haven't had time to organize any new ones in awhile.
@vangogh:
CAA membership is out of the question then. I just hope SUEDE and db could persuade one of their CAA contacts or Prof. Abellana, respectively, to teach us figure drawing techniques. Otherwise, we'll just have to go through the session unguided.
@abortretryfail:
Long time no IstoryaWe'd appreciate it if you could give us some tips as to how to organize something similar. If you're also around Ayala next Sunday, our club meets outside Bigby's at 2 pm. Your drink is on me.
Are you the one with the glasses?
@abortretryfail
yep, tips on venue as we are clueless on where we can hold something similar . i suppose we don't fancy lights as it's not photography.
