ka sayon!!! i "dangaw" "dangaw" style

    hehehe jooke

better UTP cables have "distance" .length markings on them..

    so to compute,

length label of one end(higher number) minus length label of the other end(lower number).

or you can use TDRs but they are expensive 500,000 pesos or more

i believe when they said 100 meters limit, it's the maximum length where the cable is expected to function normal... of course you can have longer cable runs but an excess of the length could lead to data loss, weak signal and most of all intermittent connection... bear in mind that wireless router is different than UTP based networking so they are not the same...

yep there is also Electronics involved and not merely Mechanics... that is why we should consider resistance (the longer the cable, the higher is its resistance and the slower would be the movement of electrons) , frequency distortion (IRF) and noise (the longer the cable the greater is it prone to noise)

if you want to have a reliable UTP connection then stick with the 100 meter rule

if you don't believe us then see for yourself...

maybe this guy has his own set of standards, hehehe. "direct application without proper theory is stupid" as quoted from one of my professors.
