If by any chance the worst criminal of all time would like to save himself from "eternal" damnation... would he still be saved?

The men and women who cast their yes vote in favor of the crucifixion of Christ found salvation and forgivness when they repented and turned to Christ for salvation about fifty days after the resurrection of the Savior.

That was in answer to the Savior's prayer: "LOrd forgive them for they dont know what they do"

Let's say Hitler wanted to be saved - people won't allow him correct? but what about God? I'm sure he will accepted... is that fair?

Salvation is not about fairness. It's about God's mercy. God in His goodness chose to offer forgiveness and mercy to hell-deserving sinners like us. God in His Holiness would have plunged us all to hell the very first time we sinned. but God chose to be merciful and gracious:

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Joh 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Ro 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Are you willing to accept His grace and mercy?

You see, their is not much we know if we really going to be saved. The question is, who is going to save who?

The One who died on the cross for your sins and resurrected again that if you turn to Him you will be saved and He will change your heart of stone into a heart of flesh to obey His commands not grudgingly but willingly.

He will give you new desires for righteousness and holiness that you haven't got now.

Would you still forgive that person who commited a crime against you? Or would you leave to God's mercy that he will be saved later on when you and him see each other eye to eye? don't tell me that you have to leave it to Bible's teachings because there is no fairness thee is only mercy.. correct? The Bible has not been revised over and over again. It has translations but there is only one original. For the Old Testament, we have the masoretic text. for the New Testament, we have Greek manuscripts at hand. Thousands of copies more than the timeless Greek classics extant in our time.

    Makuhaan, madungagan... di ba?

I would defend them. self defense is not wrong.

I of myself cannot do these things. I am vile and sinful. I am powerless to do these things. But one person who can do these in me and through me is the Lord Jesus Christ. He indwells me to live His life Through me. What I cannot do in myself He can since He indwells me.

May I suggest you read TESTIMONIES OF GENUINE CHRISTIANS?

    Example of a true story

A man murdered the husband of a woman by clubbing him to death with a hammer. The man was incarcerated for a number of days when he recieved a visit from a stranger. The stranger gave him a Bible and told him that she forgave him already. It turned out that the visitor was the wife of the man he murdered. The Bible belonged to the man he murdered.

He read the Bible, he found Christ who died for him and rose again. He found forgivness and new life in Christ. After years in prison, the man was set free and became an evangelist TOGETHER WITH THE WIFE OF THE MAN HE MURDERED!!!! They teamed up to Witness to the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to change lives.

Another example: Corrie Ten Boom<--------------Look up this name in google, she is very popular.

Corrie and her family was put in a German prison camp for helping Jews. In prison, they were treated so badly and meanly by thier captors. Her sister and her father died under the cruelty of the German guards. Years later after suriviving the camp and being set free, a man approaced her one time and introduced himself and asked for forgiveness, he was the man who treated them so severely. The man confessed that he found Christ as his Savior.

YOu know what? She willingly forgave him and accepted him as a brother in Christ.

There are many other testimonies of genuine Christians similar to this.

Yes, salvation is all about God's mercy to hell deserving sinners like us. It is soo pewerful that it can change lives.

Ironside... good, then you are saint! Sooner or later you will be ascended... right?!!! (sarcastically speaking)

I am citing a scenario on you not on other people... and since you said defesne is not a sin, what happen if you kill by sefl-defense? Are those stories ever happen to you? NO, correct? the question brod, IF YOU SEE THEM KILLED... the example is plain black and white... I don' think you don't ever think of vegeance.

He indwells me to live His life Through me. What I cannot do in myself He can since He indwells me. You must be one of those people that "if they slap your face, let them slap the other cheek..." kind of people. That is blind obedience... remember brod, Bible in the first place been translated from different sources and different people... who knows someone from the INQUISITORS changed the entire script. You migh t want to read again because what I think about you is that you have narrow beliefs (no pun intended), why did I say that... I sued to be a deacon. you have to have balance between the bible and other sources.

    Yes.

    1) I cited other people to show that what the Christ in them can do can also do for me. You are citing a hypothetical question. Therefore, it is perfectly valid and legitimate to answer replies like i posted in my previous post.

    2) Self defense is not wrong and sinful.

    3) The HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO YOU GAVE WAS:

karon, sampol lang, what will happen if you see your mother or father or wife or children is being killed and witnessed it with your own eyes, unsa man kuno imong buhaton?

    I will defend them.

    4) it may be possible that i will think of vengeance. but being tempted to commit revenge is not the same as acting on the temptation.

I of myself cannot do these things. I am vile and sinful. I am powerless to do these things. But one person who can do these in me and through me is the Lord Jesus Christ. He indwells me to live His life Through me. What I cannot do in myself He can since He indwells me.

You must be one of those people that "if they slap your face, let them slap the other cheek..." kind of people. That is blind obedience...

    1) The operative word in your statement is "MUST". "You must be one of those people........"

    your personal opinions are noted.

    2) Blind obedience is obeying without fully realizing abd seeing the veracity of the authority you are heeding.

remember brod, Bible in the first place been translated from different sources and different people... who knows someone from the INQUISITORS changed the entire script.

    1) There is a science called TExtual Criticism. Textual Criticism has proven the Bible as we have it now as presevered.

    2) http://www.carm.org/questions/rewritten.htm

    3) "......who knows someone from the INQUISITORS changed the entire script........."

Who knows they didn't. After all the Inquisition was not about the Bible. It was about heresy that the 'church' so called desired to expunge. And Textual Criticism has shown definitively and conclusively that the Bible has been preserved from thousands of copies extant.

You migh t want to read again because what I think about you is that you have narrow beliefs (no pun intended), why did I say that... I sued to be a deacon. you have to have balance between the bible and other sources.

many deacons are ignorant of the Bible.
