rock is music. so...rockers are musicians = musicians can be rockers.

that's true...sometimes.....
few rockers express what they felt- usually in creating artworks,singing,skateboard....and the most common... being a musician...medyo rockers kasagaran musicians labi na sweto cla sa tune whether it's a big noise[i mean saba nga music kanang makaheadbang ka sa kanindot] or not, they can still feel the theme of the music ....

Wadexxx... not necessarily just a music fan ... there are some fanatics who collects rock music stuff.. memorabilias.. etc. Like I said, a rock music enthusiast. He doesn't hafta play an instrument.

There's this guy I know... I can say he's definitely a rocker... well, more than a rocker I guess. He's a big music enthusiast... not just "rock" music. He has about 10,000+ records, Cd's, tapes, etc (collector items even) ... been to hundreds of rock shows/concerts .. pero he hardly plays an instrument except for a few basic drum beats (which hardly makes him a musician).

I don't also call myself a musician, though im in band before but we only play covers.

musicians I think are the ones who make their own music(riffs, lyrics, notes etc.).

so Im just a plain rocker, who collects items and listens to a variety of rock music.

How about this... Hilly Kristal .. loves Rock Music - owns the legendary CBGB club. He's not a musician (although I think he sang a bit) ... yet he's in the Rock and Roll hall of fame...

Let me make a more "local" example. Our very own HUSLABIATCH.. a forum member. As far as I know, wala ni siya'y banda pero she's a part of a busy production outfit who relentlessly produces local gigs (Harakiri Mosh). Are these people just mere music fanatics and not worth to be labeled as ROCKERS ?? (as if they really wanna be labeled as such).

The thread title shouldn't be like that, it should somewhat go like this "Are You a Rocker or A Senti/Classical/Pop Performer?"

IMO, Rocker is under Music Category, and if I were to make a Music tree it would go like this:

Music-------------Musician;

Rock--------------Rocker
Ballad-------------Balladeer
Classic------------Classical Musician
Pop---------------Pop Performer
(something like this) =)

As far as your post go - where would you place the sessionists??
Like Vinnie Colaiuta - who plays just about any genre out there... from Experimental Music (Zappa) to Metal (Megadeth)?
