Carolinian Lawyer Named Outstanding Councilor of the Philippines
Carolinian Lawyer Named Outstanding Councilor of the Philippines
Atty. Lynette Geonzon (USC Law, 1999) became the first and only lady councilor to be named Outstanding Councilor of the Philippines in a nationwide search sponsored by Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL) and Jaycees International.
The awarding ceremony was held on March 9, 2007 on the occasion of PCL’s National Convention held at the newly built Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).
A number of councilors from all over the country participated but Ms. Geonzon was specifically cited for her innovative and significant legislations in Minglanilla, Cebu where she is now completing her second term as Municipal Councilor.
Ms. Geonzon is the only awardee from Region 7 and the only female among the ten award recipients. She and the other winning councilors got a trophy and P100,000.00 each from Special Allotment Release Order from Sen. Edgardo Angara, who was guest of honor during the PCL National Convention.
I have no problem with CICC because sooner or later it will BOOM Cebu too. Ang ako ra is the lamp posts issue. I am sure nga 100% jud nga ma pobre ang cebu if the same thing happens again![]()
CICC is a white elephant.....
POOR planning....
how many events have you mentioned
CEBU X the furnture show was held at Waterfront just this February....
CICC doesn't have any hotel close to it....
Those events that you mentioned are all gov't sponsored events...
until I see a PRIVATE corporation renting CICC....
CICC will only be used by goverment agencies.... which is CLEARLY being FORCED on them....
Pandol ko? PIKAT.....
Nokia Asia-Pacific had their business meeting in Shangrila Mactan
Samsung also had their meeting in Shangrila Mactan
If you can show me an event in CICC organized by MULTINATIONALS not some goverment sponsored events....
then Na PANDOL ko....
Kung wala.....
AW kulang paka mag promote pa sa CICC....
example lang:
http://www.mrs.org.sg/conference/icmat2007/schedule/
Private companies hosting a convention
if CICC can get even just one......
Mo pandol ko ug tuyo....
example pa gyud....
http://www.visitsingapore.com/publis...nextMonth.y=15
Mao na PRIVATE SPONSORED EVENTS.....
Private (non-goverment) sponsored events is a test if CICC will sell...
Because in Private events
its like a competition...
So CICC will compete with Shangrila, MArco Polo, Waterfront lahug etc....
Now start promoting your CICC......
What does CICC have that Waterfront lahug doesn't have
What does CICC have that Marco Polo doesn't have![]()
So how do you convince private corporations to use the CICC.....
Please enlighten me on the advantages of using the CICC.....
Last pa gyud para kang kots_isko
Why don't you put a WEBSITE www.cicc.com
At least it can be seen in the entire world.....
maybe someone will rent it...
I think the government should take Mr. Zirv suggestion. Somehow he is correct kay layo ang mga hotels from CICC. Unless the government will spend millions of pesos again to build a 5 star hotel beside CICC![]()

mods apparently i got a negative karma
for asking too many questions on CICC...
