Get rid of the Jeepneys, and this will be happening soon........... with the BRT replacing them, their numbers will be reduced and slashed out from the BRT covered routes.

pre, nalibog ko nimo gamay. didn't you say in one of your earlier post "adapt or die"? that's just what the jeepney drivers need to do. adapt. also if it does happen (brt/lrt/no more jeepneys) it won't happen overnight. there would be time for them to prepare, to adapt.

jeepneys really have no place if you envision a city with free flowing traffic. they are incompatible. we make do with them now because they're all we've got but everyone knows they're far from ideal.

Ing-ani ang worst case scenario bro:

    A. All jeepney drivers decide to strike. The government cancels the franchises of those who participated in the strike.
    B. All BRT drivers decide to strike. The government fires all those who participated in the strike.

With scenario A, walay mabilin nga jeep. The city is at the mercy of the operators and drivers. With scenario B, the BRT system is still there. The government can simply replace the drivers.

yep, adapt or die...agree ko anang e limit ang number sa jeepneys, dayun provided hatagan ug panginabuhi ang mga driver lang, wala na blema jud. pero kung pasagdan mn lang gani, mao nay lisud...as what the above post said...

If we use BRTs, the government can simply fire drivers who want to cripple the transportation system. They can replace the BRT drivers with new ones who are eager to take the job. Right now, can the government fire the jeepney drivers?

OK, let's make the unrealistic assumption that all jobless drivers would become criminals. In a theoretical battle between hundreds of jobless criminals vs. two million citizens, enforced by the firepower of the government army and police, who will win?

So you'd rather stay in a complacent equilibrium state and ignore all opportunities for progress for fear of the unknown? Nothing remains in a constant state except change itself.
bro ang rally pasabot nko dili transpo strike lang...kundi rally nga gubot or parehas sa bangkok.

its not a unrealistic assumption, its a worst condition, consider the worst condition in decesion making. then if that happens you are saying nga survival of the fittest na. you should have replaced the jobs of those drivers sad...pero kung dili nila e grab ang job nga gi hatag sa gobyerno, problema na na nila.

its not a fear of change bro...as what i have said, "adapt or die"...akong pasabot sa equilibrium bro kay scientific ra kaau ug broad, sorry i wa nimo na gets...kintahay magbuhat ka ug dam, kailangan e divert pa man nimo ng existing flow sa tubig ana before nimo e tukod ang dam diba? ingana na cya bro. pangitaan usa nimo ug alternative nga replacement ang usa ka butang usa nimo e install ang usa ka butang.

sa ako na observe... kinhanlanon jud kaau ang

1.) road widening on strategic areas
2.) repair and update of existing traffic lights
3.) discipline on public utility vehicle drivers

    mao ra na...

dapat strictohon jud ang traffic enforcement.. dapat mas heavy ang penalties... maski pa unsaon ka nindot ang ato roads and high-tech ato traffic systems. kung ang road users way mga buot.. wa ghapon..
