I find solving for intrinsic value difficult. Could anyone teach me how using Graham's formula?

Some problems I encountered:

1.) Since I am more comfortable with the revised formula rather than the formula presented in his old books, it is difficult for me to solve for the average yield of AAA bonds. In his book he used 4.4, but in Philippine setting, what should I use, or where can i get the figures to compute?

2.) How do I solve for growth rate?

3.) To solve for trailing EPS, I find the average of the quartely EPS in the FS in one year. Is this right?

hehe..nalimot naman ko ani nga thread. Yep bro, its different from cost averaging. This is a way of picking stocks by:

Finding there intrinsic value, applying some tests and evaluations on the said company, quantitatively and qualitatively.

This is where the famous phrase from Ben Graham comes " Investment operations is one in which upon thorough analysis promises safety of principal and satisfactory return, investment operations not meeting this are speculations."

And as stated by Ben Graham himself, speculators are bound to lose. ^^ PEACE..

I think there is truth to this, kay ingon pa sa usa ka member sa forum (can't remember diri to sa istorya.net) wala ta mabati-an nga nadato or nisikat sa stock trading pero sa value investing, we have Warren Buffet as an example. But anyway, I still like stock trading maka addict!
