bitaw nindot man ang trailer ug storyline, grabe pud sa rating kaubos.
ofcourse the actions scenes are over gyud sa fantasy kay imagination baya sa mga buang pero nindot man sad pagka-portray.

    i'll watch this definitely.

You have any shred of proof to back up this statement?

Only if you're watching a movie purely for the eyecandy. "Battle..." has eyecandy. Big deal--I can get that same effect with a great video game. Porn has eyecandy as well Plotwise, rare is the sci fi movie nowadays that doesn't progress beyond "Michael Bay mode". Only movies like "Limitless" (which still contain flaws) manage to penetrate the market every now and then, but then only under the shadow of something like "Inception" (the new "Source Code" film sounds promising and has been likened to "Inception").

And in this case, "Sucker Punch" does fit the "eyecandy only, hollow plot" genre, so I expect you to probably say it's ok as "Battle..."

Sorry if I made the statement sound like a close-ended fact instead of a speculation/personal opinion, I actually mean "Apparently, Rotten Tomatoes gives... xxxx". Their Rango rating proved as much, it made money but not a lot of people liked it (this is not just based on my own opinion, Rango was in fact a disappointment, high box-office sales notwithstanding).

And about the eye-candy bit, I don't know what to say. I guess you're implying that my choice of movies isn't as deep and profound as yours. The only point I was trying to get across was that just because Rotten Tomatoes says it's bad doesn't mean it's not enjoyable (also applicable the other way around). Call me a cheap sell, a shallow-movie type of guy, but I liked Sucker Punch. I don't shun or bash movies because they don't make the standard of the Inceptions and the 'deep' movies, and especially not because the experts at Rotten Tomatoes say so. It's not to say I don't enjoy such 'plot-rich' and 'deep' movies (because as a matter of fact I do) but that's beside the point. My main beef really is that some movie critic-sites dismiss certain films and convince people to pass on them when they don't really know if those people will share their sentiment. Not every movie has to be a 'mind-stimulating' experience to be enjoyable. Sometimes the 'no-brainer' movies and the 'eye-candy' types may be the fix you want to help you unwind, which is the case with me. If, like you said, you'd rather get your fix from a video game or porn, then by all means do. I won't bust your balls for it, it's your preference. Whatever floats your boat (saying it with no disrespect intended). I am not trying to impose to everyone that Sucker Punch is the shiznit, I was just airing my opinion. It's not important if people agree with me or not, I was just saying. I never meant to strike people's nerves or something.

(Limitless was OK, I enjoyed it. But for post-exam unwinding purposes, Sucker Punch was the better fit for me.)

All points taken. I give my apologies as well, if my previous comments sounded rather heavy-handed. I guess I was just taken aback at the remark about sites doing reviews purely for cash flow purposes. While this may be true in some cases, if you look at the long list of movies that RT has reviewed, and compare it to a list of awards/commendations that a certain film has received, you would see that they are more or less consistent, which is why RT can still be used as a good indicator/checker if a movie is worth watching or not, despite people's differing tastes.

i've watched it last night and all i can say is it sucks. except for the quotable quotes the imaginary master is giving the ladies. i don't know what's with Babydoll's sour face everytime she dances. there was an epic fail scene wherein the door was supposed to be locked from the inside as barbie doll faces the zombie soldier leader and yet it was open on another scene while she was fighting them; there was also this scene where the protagonist has that high-heeled maryjanes but the heels were gone when she landed. it's kinda cheap and to think i was overwhelmed with the trailer since she was wearing a japanese school uniform. brr!
