its, better late than never...
is there any way how i can practice to set a time management.?
i don't even know how to start.. lol
When I was in elementary I was never late. As I got older, I started coming in late for almost everything. My closest friends would make bagolbol at me for being late, and officemates would scream "himala!" if I came in early. I don't know why it's happening. I came up with a theory just now: perhaps when I was younger, I was a lot happier that I didn't have to force myself to wake up or finish a task. Maybe if you actually like where you're supposed to go and what you're supposed to do, you'll stand a better chance of being punctual without being bitter about it. *shrugs*
But when I'm late, it's my fault; it makes me feel uncomfortable hearing people make "Filipino time" as their excuse. Not to mention it might give children the wrong idea. Some people are even taking advantage of it. Example: meetings are said to start at 9 AM when the actual meeting doesn't start until 11AM - a strategy done to ensure that everyone is "on time". How sad.
If there's one bad thing about not being on time, it's that sooner or later people won't trust you. They won't wanna hang out with you, etc., because you're just plain wa'y lami ikasabot. So when laziness strikes, I tell myself, "you still have to do this task anyway, might as well do it now." Anyway, I'm still learning pa gihapon.
^sakto jud, splendid moonlight! if we are always late, people end up not taking us seriously. one person I know has stopped inviting a co-worker to trips out of town because the co-worker always comes to the pickup place 20-30 minutes late. this puts those who wait in a not-so-good mood.
Earlier today, I arrived at the dentist's clinic at 10:30 AM - 30 minutes before my schedule. There was already another patient (a guy) waiting. When the dentist came out, she said she'd be working on me first since the guy was supposed to be for 9 AM but arrived only a few minutes before me. The dentist said she deliberately scheduled us 2 hours apart since the guy's procedures would take time.
I could tell that the guy wanted to swap schedules with me, most likely there was somewhere else he needed to be at that time. I knew the nice thing to do would be to let him go first (since I have nothing planned for the rest of the day anyway), but no way Jose. Ha! That will teach him to come on time next time.
i always come on or before the time agreed upon..i just can't comprehend why other people would see 7:00 as 8:00...
that's nice cd!
today i got to work 15 minutes early. I had to wake up one hour earlier than usual for this. twas very good coz i had time to clean my bedroom! felt very productive early in the day.
