para lang di ma discourage ang uban tao na ganahan mag jailbreak kay not all of us can afford blu ray games.

backup managers can let you play newer games just by editing the param.sfo file to a playable version for ur ps3 (jailbreak 3.41 or cfw 3.55), also there are a lot of people contributing to the community and terms of modified eboots that will let you play with your jailbroken ps3.

in terms of ijailbreak imo ps3, naa rajd na nimo, kung wala sa imong budget ang magcge palit ug blu-ray discs kay why not db. lots of people here in istorya are willing to help if mag jb ka (I know kay gtabangan pd ko)

It's sad that people mean one thing yet use totally different terms: jailbreak, hacker, cheater, pirate.

    Sad!
    correct.

so to jailbreak or not, its all up to you. if you can afford to buy a bluray game disc then don't jailbreak. for me, before i buy a new game disc for ps3 mag research sa ko ug unsa na mga games ang bag-o na release or kato tag-as ug mga ratings.. i usually refer games to this site: GameSpot is your go-to source for video game news, reviews, and entertainment

Let us not deny the fact that all most all (if not all) of those who jailbreak their ps3 in the Philippines aim to use it to steal games thru piracy. probably the reason why JB is associated with PIRACY.

Playing offline is so last gen. Thus, I suggest not to JB.

    Let us all play legit.

i agree with most JB'ed PS3's being used for piracy but not all.... and also it is your PS3, you can do whatever the hell you want with it, you don't buy a white shirt and then not have the option to print on it kay dapat officially white shirt jud sya unya kasagaran sa nipalit kay wala nila gi printan ila, bottomline is when you paid for your PS3, it is yours, don't let anyone else affect whatever you want to do with your product

Naa na moy mga trabaho oi.

Masabtan ra to nga mag pirata ta katong kapanahunan sa PS1 ug PS2 kay kita man to mga bata. Kulang pa gani allowance pang palit ug pirated games.

Majority nato karon naa nay trabaho. Lets do our share. No to jailbreak.

CustomFW for me is like copying my classmates program, edited a few items, then renamed it with me as the new owner.

That is another sad fact. I personally don't jailbreak my PS3 because I don't have a use for a jailbroken PS3. My iPhone is totally different though, as it is only through jailbreaking that I can customize the look and feel of my device.

BTW jailbreaking the PS3 in it's purest forum using GeoHots method will not allow you to play pirated games. Pirated games only run of the CFW or the USB thingy. What is worse is the current PSN outage is - as I have read - caused by security flaws that allows CFW users to outright STEAL digital content buy loading their accounts with false dollars. That is why the PSN is being rebuilt right now.
