I hope someday the government will in-force all school to teach students (the future of the Philippines) on the importance of Life Insurance. If *** education and family planning are important to control the population, Financial Education and Life Insurance are also important to avoid financial burden in the future.

Yes Health Insurance is very good but sad to say a lot of our health insurance are not honest. I had a friend who have intellicare (IT Park) in their company Intellicare mark her as hypertension and she cant avail anyy test saying its pre-existing daw. She was wondering why she has hypertension cause she never had one before and right now when she transfer to another company which doesn't have health insurance, she got her own life insurance but was denied at first because Intellicare log her in an insurance database as uninsurable due to high blood but the company as her to get a medical test but the result of the test was negative. And now her application for insurance was approved. Grabe intellicare ruin a person's future just to save money.

My wife also before I got I-care (insular) for both of us it cost us more than 6k and during that year my wife got pregnant and I-Care told us that she can't use her card during pregnancy period which is 9 month, her I-care was a total waste of money.

These Health insurance company are destroying the reputations of insurances, People think that they are the same as Life Insurance company.

You should also ask the agent about the terms and conditions about the heatlh insurance that you bought, Mostly, maternity is not covered.

@James Co - I'm sorry to hear about your experience. But being with insular, I did ask about how I-care works... Naa man sa provisions that if you're an individual owner (not belonging to a group) dili man jud covered ang pregnancy...

You said "Yes Health Insurance is very good but sad to say a lot of our health insurance are not honest." And you mentioning I-care (a subsidiary of my company) is misleading. It was not them being NOT honest... It was a matter of not asking what's included in the package... Written info man na siya... All you could have done was ask... Not say that they were not honest... If they told you nga COVERED pero DILI diay to, then that's the case of being NOT honest..

As for your friend's pre-existing condition nga hypertension, I also asked about that kind of scenario... Ang kanang hypertension doesn't develop overnight... So even if wala pay doctor naka-sulti nimo nga hypertensive ka, then makit-an sa medical exam that your BP is relatively higher than normal, that means naa nay underlying factors for it to reach that point... Mao daw ilang i-tag ang hypertension as pre-existing condition...

As for I-care, on the first year ra sila dili mu-cover ug pre-existing conditions (i.e. asthma, etc). But if mu-renew on the 2nd year and onwards, mu-cover na sila... BUT there are still a few pre-existing conditions that they will still NOT cover... Kung unsa ni sila, ask the health insurance provider for you to get the right info...

And by the way, it's not mainly the health insurance that's destroying the reputations of the life insurance companies... It's the lack of info that's mainly destroying the industry... Maong ang challenge these days for people in the insurance industry is not just selling, it's also educating the masses unsay difference from one vs the other...

@James Co - I'm not trying to pick a fight with you... I'm trying to set things right kay daghan2x pud baya nag-sunod sa thread nga imong gi-start... So, at least man lang, correct info ang ma-share diri... peace bro...

maam, you said pregnancy is not covered, that's understandable and common. Pero if I understand correctly sa reklamo ni James kay dili magamit ang insurance in the period of 9 months during her pregnancy? hmmm I think thats a rip off...I think not all health problem in that period can be attributed to pregnancy just trying to clarify kay dili baya tanan like that

I also had a bad experience with Intellicare.
Wa na cover ako dependent kay pre-existing daw asthma sa ako 6 yr old son, nya first time pajud tawon to migawas. And even if di sila mocover, naa diay sa contract nga after my 1st yr, ma cover na ang pre existing conditions sa ako dependent and 2 years nako, hayyy cge nalang to.

sakto jud si Honey2723, dapat i-educate jud maayo ang customer sa limits sa insurance para di moreklamo.
