btw cebufox, ive seen cheap car remote systems that have rated range of over 800feet...thats well over 150 meters already.
ive seen car remote systems that are rated for 2,400 feet range. so in ur test, 150meters is NOT FAR ENOUGH so it seems...

you want to know something real about car remotes...a cool trick...try this...move to a distance just enough that when you hold the remote forward with ur arm streching out, your remote wont be able to trigger the car anymore. so you are just beyone the reach of the remote.

now hold the remote control to ur chin and press the button, it should extend the range of the signal just enough to trigger the car try that and believe that...hehehe kani, this is no joke...no hoax...in fact, not just ur chin, but attaching/pressing the remote control to other parts of ur body should extend the range of ur remote you want an explanation? try it first then you ask me...hehehe

Yes, at first when I have a friend who sent me this kind of message about unlocking your car with ur celfone near the left side view mirror (driver side) and the other end of the line with the telephone/celfon and pressing the unlock button. Just follow the instructions carefully. I thought it would really not work at first but because of curiousity I've tried it. I can't believe it that's why I'm still researching on why is this so?

Ako ni gisuwayan using my remote. Locked the car with the remote. Have asked one of my friends to bring the remote with him and walk about 100-150 meters away. He told me that he tried to press the remote without dialling my celfone first. The car didn't unlock. He told me this when the time he called before pressing the unlock button. But when iya na gipaduol ang remote sa iyaha celfone mic & simultaneously pressing the unlock button ( at the same time also ako gipaduol ako celfone just below the left side view mirror, maybe the sensor is near that area (?))..MY CAR UNLOCKED!!!!

Nganong dili man ninyo suwayan be para lang jud motuo ba mo o dili..My car is toyota corolla and my remote is also from toyota (wala man ko makita nga brand gud sa remote). Basta i-follow ra jud instructions carefully..Wala may mawala ninyo if inyo i-try d ba?..Wala man sad mi makwarta o makuha if tinuod jud mo-work ba..Gi-share ra nako ako experience unya na prove man nako tinuod ni..

btw, im an ECE by profession so grabe jud ako doubt ani nga claim before..pero tinuod man gud unsaon ta man na..also im working in a telecom firm so lisod jud kaayo primero pagtoo kay kasabot ko unsa na coding gigamit sa GSM..but this works!..

diba ang mogawas sa imo cellphone speakers audio frequency man na. how come ang imo RF frequency sa imo remote nigawas sa imo cellphone speaker? tingali ug kana imo remote audio frequency ang gi transmit. kung audio frequency ang gi transmit, daku ug possibility nga na extend ang iya range using the GSM technology(coded/decoded), then gipagawas niya sa imo cellphone speakers in amplified form na. try kuno naa ka ofc unya imo car naa sa balay nimo...then unlock using your car using your phone. Nag assume ko nga layo kaayo imo balay ha...one km will do. Unsa gani ang modulation nga gigamit sa GSM kay i-hack nato...hehehe

@markyap, somehow ang imo body/chin acted as a big antenna add-on (reflector or director). somehow the RF energey gained some dB because of your body...mao to ni extend ang iya range. But this does not always work. Gain and range are affected by the immediate environ.

actually signal is directed ito the body, then the body acts as a giant aerial...thus range is extended (up to twice the range by some accounts but id rather be conservative and say maybe couple of feet further is a certainty)
it WORKS everytime (the body acts as a giant aerial everytime and signal sent out with an "extended" range each time)...

RF in general may be affected by environmental conditions but im only talking of being just outside the range of the remote. (a few steps away maybe) im not talking bout being a mile further away...doing this should give it just enough umph to reach the car. again this range extention via chin pressing WORKS! unlike the remote via cellphone call which is BS

ok maybe the distance that i have tested was not FAR enough...i'll try to test it when i'm at the office with the remote and with my car left in the house..

i will be man enough to accept if the 2nd test would not work. but wala jud ko mamakak with that distance sa first test nako..nisulti lang ko sa result bay mark..(ayaw sad ko ingna nga bad ko oi... )

btw, the distance between my house & my workplace is about 5-7 miles away..maybe that would be enough?..i will inform everybody if i was done with the test and will let u know whatever the result will be.. :mrgreen:

dude i didnt say namakak ka sa results...im just saying it obiously wasnt far enough as car remotes are rated much further than that...
