got married sa church last july 2009... spent 160k... that's with financial donors na pud...
share lang nako some of the things that i got to save on:
-
Flowers - as for the church decorations, nangita ko ug kanang magpa-rent sa ilang tanom...

i like flowers but if ako pabayaron then ilabay lang inig human, dili nako ganahan ana... hehe so, what i did, nangita ko ug mamaligya-anay ug tanom nga duol ra sa church, then akong gipangutana if magpa-rent ba sila sa ilang tanom... i chose the potted flowers and plants that i wanted to use sa church.. paid P600 for ALL the plants that i wanted to use...

then i looked for a decorator to that could handle the decoration and set-up didto sa church. if naa moy kaila nga pwede makatabang ninyo diha nga part, then mas maau... palit lang mo ug toole (kanang cloth nga murag net) para tabon sa mga pots or black bags that holds the soil...

ang decorator nga akong nakuha kay florist man at the same time, didto nalang ko ni-order nila ug mga bouquets... my budget for the flowers sa church and decoration sa venue kay P10k
-
table centerpieces - again, i didn't use flowers...

i used memo/picture holders in the shape of potted plants. saw them sa CamG sa parkmall.

then the pictures served as table assignments and give-aways at the same time... had to ask help from my sister in doing the layout... medyo kuti nuon ni kay personalized jud ang give-aways... dili pa man gud uso at that time ang mga photobooth.. hehe
-
invitations - make use of the web... if you're really on a tight budget, traditional printed invitations are costly and ilabay ra sad kasagaran sa mga guests... we had an online invitation...

we asked friends and even my hubby pitched-in in making the website...
Amora-Ybañez Nuptials having a wedding website will also help you save on the transportation cost in distributing the printed invites... ang among gi-printan lang originally kay kadtong members sa entourage and sponsors... as for the rest, sent out emails as part of the invitation that led them to the website...
-
wedding gown and entourage - wala ko nagpa-tahi...

looked for a ready to wear long, white dress and had some embellishments added on it lang...

ang gipatahi nako was the robe that served as my veil...

as for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, puro rent lang... 2nd user lang... kugi sad jud ko ug canvass to find the right one that would fit my theme and my idea...
-
rings - used our wedding ring pag civil. if wala mi nagpa-civil, we could have bought it at P15k na siguro...
-
pictures - did the same thing as one of the posters here... hired one professional photographer, and asked friends with DSLR cam to take pictures for us and asked for the softcopy...

printed the pictures in our own time, bought the album, pilit and voila!
-
video - wasn't really that interested in having a MOVIE of our wedding... it would have been nice, but just wanted a home-video type... so, borrowed a video cam and asked a friend to take videos of the important highlights... unfortunately, the guy we asked kay dili hanas sa cam nya kurog pa jud ug kamot... grrrr!!!! anyways, we still enjoyed the pictures...

lesson learned, make sure oriented sa cam ang inyong i-request to take videos sa cam...
-
hotel - we had the preparation sa ALPA city suites sa may subangdaku... checked-in sa morning of the wedding day para 1 night ra among mabayaran...

checked-out the following day...
-
food and venue - looked for a venue that we liked, and nice pud... we ended up at AMARA... hehe and looked for a caterer nga among na-try nga budget friendly... basically, sa food man jud mamahal... coz it usually eats up like, half of your budget... so, that one way for you to really save... find a venue and hire an external caterer...
hope you guys pick up some ideas sa among gibuhat... i was able to do all this kay hands-on man ko sa preparation.. decided to do it hands on kay grabe jud to ug budget... hehe didto ko namawi sa HUMAN resources...
Good luck to all!
