Mas sayon ni nga paagi. Kung puno ang radiator ug tubig, just add the 250ml rust converter sa reservoir niya. Pero kung naa pay lugar kabutangan didto sa radiator, mas maayo derecho nimo butang didto ang rust converter. The next time mo circulate ang tubig nga naay rust converter, tanang rust maagian mo stop from being a rust ug tanang surface nga with iron content mahimong coated with iron phosphate nga stable ug di na mo taya pa. Kini nga pamaagi makatabang aron di na mabuslot ang head gasket, no more overhauling due to blown head gasket. Never put any amount of tap water or water from a well, maka clog na sa radiator due to calcium that is present from ground or tap water. Mineral water should also be avoided due to solid mineral content.

You wrote 1 day before. So ako sa i-drain mga 15-25% of the water sa radiator then add 250 ml nga rust converter? Then add more tap water if dli pa ma full ang radiator? Or drain jud nko tanan then add water with rust converter nga 250 ml.

By the way, around 20 Km. ra akong dagan everyday. House to office and back to house ra jud.

Thanks kaayo for sharing your knowledge.

Distilled water is acidic about 4ph value so it promotes corrosion, but it has zero TDS (total disolve solids),wala na minerals that causes scale deposits sa pipes, the Scales that you see in your cloged drainage or hot water pot are mixtures of calcuim, magnession, iron etc, they acts as insulation( consumes more heat to boil/mahal Gasul) so dont use ordinary tap water kay sa Cebu is lime dominant, hard ato tubig. Water Hardness is 1000ppm that why needed ang softener,Most coolants are highly composed of zinc chromate,(MAKAHILO/esp sa iro) ZINC as we know has low valence so it acts sacrificial to rust, that why your primer paint has lead or zinc(red lead/zinc chromate),instead rust eating your metal,it will attack the zinc or lead,Check out the hull of boats and tankers. Under are thick plates called ZAP zinc anodic protection, kaonon sa taya instead ang barko, paghurot na ZAP, ibarado barko for zap change. Back to engine,Heat generated is energy loss due to nature of material used(metal conducts heat) CERAMIC is the best but fragile, thats the trade off,Never revised the thermostate setting, Cold engine uses more fuel and promotes corrosion. So it is best to add 50 parts distilled to 50 parts coolant para neutral, thew ok ba?

    share lang nako bro.

para nako mas safe man ang distilled compare na tap water kay less ang particles.

pero mas maayo kung naay coolant para sa anti rust properties.
