AMD/ATI5770 or Geforce GTS 260

actually less than 10 watts ra ang difference @ idle (which imo is what really matters, more so than the load consumption since i dont play games all the time) sa hd5770 & gtx260, & since more powerful man sad ang performance sa gtx260, more than justified ang slight difference sa power consumption.

as long as the hd5770 is not at least 1k pesos cheaper than the gtx260, gtx260 gets my vote.

based on the chart above... 21watts ang difference @ idle then 57watts on load

There are a lot of websites with different data.. some have around 35watts difference.. while others have the difference at less than 10 watts as you said.

my bad, more than 10 watts diay..sa tom's na review nako gi base which is 13 watts difference..almost negligible compared to the 29 watt difference between the hd4870 & gtx260. if we really want to talk about efficiency though, then the only clear runaway winner is the HD5870..which has around the same idle power consumption as the HD5770 & HD5850.




my point still stands though, hd5770 is a good card but is currently overpriced locally.

yup....so ingn ani na lang...if you cannot wait for next year para mu drop ang prices sa 5770, go for gtx260 sa karon...

but kung maka wait ka next year...aw 5770 na lang ka wala ta kabaw mahimu 8k php na lang ang bnew sa 5770..

current price 5770 = 8950php gtx260=9200php

yeah , murag overpriced pa kaayo diri...

I got mine katong bag-o pa nigawas... @ $159 + california tax + s&h + e-waste... mahulog almost 9k... pero dapat mga 8k ra gyud na' ang 5770.

Probably manila price na siya. And the whole HD57xx series is 128-bit. What lacks on the bus width is well compensated by the ram being used.
