Well well looks like this is going to be an interesting year for Intel, K8L is held off til 2008 so there wont be ANY socket AM3 until 2008, which doesnt seem pretty soon to me. Altho AMD is fighting conroe with extremely low priced X2's

thats the only consolation for me too..X2 price cuts.. upgrading to CONROE will cost me a fortune.since i'll need a new mobo and memory

im hoping the X2s would go as low as P8000..i wont mind CONROE bitch slapping AMD as the X2s are still very powerful CPUs anyway...(plus ive read in guru3d that you can O your X2 3800 ( or was it a higher X2) to FX-60 levels..hmmmm)

Im an AMD fan and user since kaniadto pa but sadly, the most promising statement i can say now re:AMD vs Intel would be AMD MAY rule!!!! once K8L is out.hehe

Conroe is not out on the philippines market, we get our stock anytime from July 27 ~ Aug 4. ( Conroes offical mass market retial release is July 23rd )
Conroe X6800 is already out.
Retail production of the E6600 has been out, several people who are using retail versions of the chip are all over the net.
Conroe is more then physically avalalbe, even kentsfield is physically avalable already.

let me add that colaler,shamino,death_metal(pinoy) already had a conroe sample chips ( early last month ) and retail version ( about a week ago ) and others whom i really dont know. So you dont go out and claim that conroe does not physically exsist.
