It makes me wonder where would the typical Filipino would be at that times. The entire Filipino traditions and citizens dissolved by foreign traditions.

There's still enough room for improvement to avoid this catastrophe. In the upcoming 2010 elections, ayaw pailad sa mga pulitiko if dili ni ninyo gusto mahitabo.

    I suggest you try harder.

Again, please re-read the definition of democracy.
"...your freedom ends, where the freedom of others begin."
If anybody doesn't understand this statement, please do tell me and I shall kindly explain.

Just as I said! It's Democracy......... I can tell you I wanna kill Quezon 3 times but that doesn't mean you can't disagree with me........

Well, killing Quezon is humorous for me................ why shall I bother if you don't find it so.........

That's what you think and this is what I think........ we don't have the same ideas........

When it comes to suggestions.......... instead of telling me what I must do.......... just help me solve the problem...........

we mean no disrespect here. It only shows that the opinion of others differ from someone elses. And he is entitled to his own opinion. That is what democracy is all about. Freedom of speech is one of them.

well im young, but please sir rodsky, do not generalize about the youth.

I have fun too, i have a psp and those other stuff u mentioned, however i do RESPECT Quezon.
He was speaking in full Filipino pride and i believe that he meant he'd rather see us Filipinos TRY to get things right than have someone else simply do it for us.
for those who said theyd kill Quezon a second time, instead of doing that why dont u just bring Quezon back to life so that he can explain more and perhaps for once the people will listen clearly to his message. heheh

on topic, yes i believe the Philippines suck at the moment, and if this continues we will just go to ruins.. i think by now Quezon himself is dissapointed as to how he stated his phrase, because people have misinterpreted it heavily.. wow theyre really running the philippines like hell!!! corruption is so intense that it has become common! heheh a 100 years? unless a miracle happens, we wont last 50 years id say..

    just my views
im young, perhaps not as smart as any of u are, and not as experienced in life.. if you think that gives you the right to insult or hate me, please, do feel free.

Right, blame a president who's been dead for over 60 years for this nation's problems.

Just because you're free to do as you please doesn't necessarily mean that yours is the correct path. And natural law (and even evolution) dictates that people who are older than you statistically have more experience in handling situations (i.e. based on their prior experiences), and that's the reason why you should try and listen more about their ideas, and try to solve things using their methods, rather than pursue your own. Pursuing your own idea is not bad, but ignoring the ideas of experienced individuals is not only unwise, it's impractical.

the article, aside from what Quezon said, also mention the idea that during Marcos' Bagong Lipunan (a softer term used to hide the Martial Law days) it was found that teaching discipline did not work but the need to instill respect among fellowmen is necessary. I agree to this.
