Oh cool! Reminds me of an anecdote where a cosplayer got reported to a marshall by being so IC off stage that they were interpreted as harassing a fan.
As in they were being all grumpy and stuff as required by the character.
Man that was so cute. They really had to sort it out because the fan really felt that the cosplayer was trying to pick a fight with em. Lol.
Hope you guys have enough marshalls for that.
Since that means, we're allowed to be sarcastic jerks because our character say so with our competitors. I hope some IC cosplayer who's supposed to be sarcastic and mean doesn't end up cussing me in my face on that day! Damn. I wish I were a competitive cosplayer then. I'd love to be all tsundere and slap people across the face. XD
No srsly. Whut? O_o
...I really don't get why you guys have to put a time limit over being IC. Isn't being IC at all times like part of what makes Cosplaying = cosplaying in the first place?
Why put a time limit? Because it's tiring? Geez. It's part of what makes the activity bittersweet for crying out loud. xD
Putting all those, you must be IC and adding supplementary rules about it... Isn't that obvious that it's what should be done in the first place? Why keep emphasizing it... then taking out part of the fun of being IC.
Iunno with you guys but it's like a paradox to me. xD
Since like skits, being IC is sth that is subjective and definitely a personal property of the cosplayer. It's a 'each to their own interpretation of so and so' which makes it really meaningful. Since no matter how many people have cosplayed a particular no matter how overdone, no two cosplayers will ever carry that same person the same way. This Misa will always be different from the other Misa and so forth, if you're carrying my drift?
Oh come on. D: Every cosplayer will tell you that when they wear the costume and act them out, they feel good because they feel they have become the IC.
Why put a time limit? Because it's tiring?
Personally, I feel it's a slight insult saying that cosplayers can't stay IC whole day so you guys are just limiting the required time. >.>
That's just me. If no one else feels so, then just take it as a 'different perspective/my personal two cents' to think about.

. After all I said "you need not be" and not "you absolutely must not be IC unless it's this time". It's a convention after all and not just for Cosplay. The rules posted are for the competition and not Cosplaying on the event itself. What the time limit means is that they're being IC will be judged at that time.
