    (Somewhat O/T)

The lunar rover may not have been invented by a Filipino but the Stealth Fighter was!

Okay, it was designed by a somewhat-Filipino.

Ben Rich, the handpicked successor to Clarence "Kelly" Johnson of Lockheed Skunk Works fame (U-2 and SR-71, among others), was chief engineer on the highly classified Stealth Fighter project.

He was born and raised in Manila in 1925, son of a British lumber mill superintendent. He and his family fled the Philippines just before the Japanese invasion in 1941 and moved to the United States, where he became a naturalized American citizen.

Ben Rich is widely referred to as the "Father of Stealth". His brainchild, known as the F-117 Nighthawk, gained mythical status in the two Gulf Wars by striking targets in the very heart of Baghdad. All but invisible to radar and flying under the cover of night, F-117s flew over the most heavily defended city on earth with impunity, putting bombs on target with jaw-dropping precision. Not one F-117 was lost in the air campaign.

Ben Rich also did major design work for two other legendary aircraft, the Lockheed U-2 and SR-71 Blackbird spy planes.

Ben Rich had good memories of the colonial life in the Philippines.

You can read his book, "Skunk Works" co-authored with Leo Janos, or check this wikipedia entry:

Ben Rich - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So now you can say a Philippine-born engineer designed the Stealth Fighter and you would be entirely right.

While there have been erroneous entries in Wikipedia, that should not mean this particular one was wrong, or that everything in Wikipedia is wrong, and that ergo Ben Rich was not in fact born in the Philippines.

Ben Rich was born and raised in the Philippines. My primary reference was his autobiography, "Skunk Works" (by Ben Rich and Leo Janos, see p. 109) I merely cited Wikipedia because that is the easiest to check online if you don't have the book on hand.

Unless you're going to tell me Ben Rich's autobiography isn't a good place to site (sic) accurate information either.

I remember watching to moon landing on the TV as a child with my parents. From the time the rocket left the earth there were skeptics, and for over 30 years they have worked each other into a frenzie hanging on any little thing that strengthens their doubts about the event. I have never had that problem and this is why, and the skeptics refuse to accept.

One of the world's largest assemblies of established radio reception towers are on the coast lines of Great Briton, they were used to give the RAF the advantage over the Luftwaffe blitzkrieg from the coast of France. The triangulation of radio waves use in early air radar systems. These directional towers were trained at the moon, so they could hear the transmissions from the moon's surface. These experanced radio operators had no doubt about the direction of the source of incoming waves of intercepted lunar crosstalk. They are not fooled by atmospheric skips and triangulation show source direction of any transmission. They were not getting lunar incomming signal from North, South, East, or Westerly sources. They were trained at the moon's surface, and the incoming signals were coming from the moon's surface.

They were there on the surface of the moon, not in Hollywood, area 51, or in NASA's Houston or Florida locations. The evidence was there then, and all the rest is just foolishness. Man landed on the moon and returned safely home. It was an incredible feat, a total waste of money, but an incredible feat just the same.

plus Oswald was a lone assassin, Elvis is dead, and little green men do live in area 51. So enough with the conspiracy theory's devote you energies in endeavors that are more productive.

To the untrained eye, yes. But to someone who knows something about how LROC works, it's not "wa'y klaro".
