The govt. should not heed the advice of Sen. Gordon and grant the ASG pardon since it is like giving these rebels ransom money worth millions of dollars. If the ASG is really keen on ending the fight against the govt., then they should also be ready to face the consequence for the crimes they have committed. It will be unfair not only for the military who fought in the war in Mindanao, but also to those living in the South, if the govt. will forge an agreement with this terrorist group. Our status in the international community will also be affected once we give in to the suggestion of Gordon.
abu sayaf bandits must pay for their barbaric acts and they should be made to pay the hard way. genuine peace can only be achieved with justice.
Indeed, peace and justice should come hand in hand. They could not just expect amnesty after all that they have done. It would be a complete disregard of all the sacrifices and hardships of all the people who are now involved in this fight, whether they want it or not.
Somehow, the government knows that the best thing to do here is not to agree with the proposal of these people. After all, they have been waging war against the government for the longest time. We cannot just give in to their demands.
Amnesty may be granted only to political-oriented cause, definitely not for terrorist.
bwahahaha muted lagi si CatStevenBetonio!
Gi-ALL OR NOTHING man dayon ug statement! Morag ganahan man siguro ni sila ug holy war! Crusades vs. jihad! Hala ikaw una ngadto Mindanao!
back to topic.
They are Abu Sayyaf BANDITS. Therefore criminals. Nganong amnesty intawon? They are not fighting for anything except money. Mo respect pa ko sa mga MILF maski di ko muagree sa ilang goals.
