    We use legit MS windows on all our computers - but we only use openoffice. Mahal ra kaau ang MS office.

    indeed, open source OS are best alternatives. In school, mostly taught are Windows and its applications. Developers focused more in developing applications for Microsoft Windows OS such as games, business applications and support drivers for most hardwares. If only those big motherboard makers and other OEM companies focused developing in Linux community, then a lot of people used open source.

    Schools teaches what is in demand, if more businesses and users use Linux and other open sources then it will be taught in school and it will definitely solve the piracy issues, as a result companies will hire developers that are knowledgeable about open sources.
