Do Filipinos know what being a gentleman is? Or good manners? In the civilized world, there is such a thing as being a gentleman. Derived from history, of it's original meaning, denoted a man of good family.
"An ambiguous word, like 'noble' meaning elevated either by rank or by personal qualities.
In modern speech, the term is usually democratised so as to include any man of good, courteous conduct, or even to all men."
There you go "gentleman". In another sense, being a gentleman means treating others, especially women, in a respectful manner."
If you perhaps have a dumbshell of a gf who herself do not care about good mannerism, then it is fine. But at least be mindful if your gf says she's bothered by it, or if to her it is being disrespectful, not all women are the same.
Looking ahead because you are going a certain way is fine, we still have to look at people or else we'll bump over them right? But glancing/eyeballing intentionally at a pretty lady is ungentlemanly, at least to my standards.
Did I say that men aren't supposed to do that, totally? No, I said know when not to do it. If you're with your gf/wife/date, don't show them that, be a gentleman instead. If you see a pretty girl up ahead, remind yourself that the person right next to you is your gf/wife/date and deserves some respect. So refrain. Allow yourself some other time, not when you're holding her hand.
