the remainder is burried underground 2 kilometers down with no chance of radiation escaping....

wyl it is true dat new tech has patched up the disaster in Chernobyl, i am rily apprehensive w/ d way our gov't compromises public safety w/ budget cuts, so i'm afraid we wud hav a nuke plant badly maintained n jst seconds away to a major disaster

wouldn't that apply too to nuclear power? as technology progress nuclear power will also become cheaper..... its not excusive only to solar and wind power

maintenance

don't you think you also have to maintain geothermal, hydroelectric, natural gas plants and etc.??

maintenance is handled quite well nowadays........

radiation well other nuclear countries have a safe record(except russia)

anyway everything will have maintenance cost..... nuclear power you need to replace fuel rods every 5-10 years.....

so in every 5 years you bring out the radioactive spent fuel...... every 5 years..... i can live with that....
